The Native Americans aren't descended from Vikings. Bit of a giveaway there. Nazis just like Norse mythology because, well, Jesus was from Nazareth, which is in the Holy Land, so Christianity is middle eastern. And most of the pre-Christian White boy religions we know about are Southern European, Greek and Roman and that. And being as that Walken/Hopper scene in True Romance was historically accurate, your actual white supremacist isn't about to praise Zeus. And British Paganism has already been co-opted by Hippies, so they can't have that. So Norse is the only thing left. But it's bullshit to suggest that Vikings lived in an all-white world when there's archeological evidence of Viking burials in Norway and Sweden with Turkish grave goods in them. The fan vote was their idea. Wolfe won the first week but they gave someone else the title shot instead. Then he won again and they put him in the match but jobbed him out quick. However, until recently these groups didn't acknowledge the use of Norse imagery, Nordic Runes and such through Neo-Nazi groups and right extremists. Mostly because most of the interest was cultural and aesthetic, not political or to to claim any kind of suptemacy. It is over the last few years that said groups take a political stance against right extremism. Plus, as RAF said above, the period of 1933 - 1945 has tainted quite a lot of the imagery at least, especially runes and ornaments. I guess the point I'm trying to make - as I said, for Germany and Scandinavia at least - is that there is large "fanbase" for the Viking Age and Norse mythology aswell as literature and imagery who are just crazy geeks for a certain time period and cultural aesthetic. I don't know either Rowe or Logan as a person, but judging from the effort that was put into that Wedding, they are very serious Viking cosplayers. There is so much effort in clothing, colours etc. Not saying that rules out any possibility of them being supremacists, but the use of Viking and Norse imagery seems to be quite contextual. I apologize for the huge wall of text, but it is very rare that I encounter one of my true specialities outside of wrestling within the confines of this board. I felt the need to contribute. It angers and pains me that white supremacists, neo Nazis and crazy right wingers taint and try to take away Viking/Norse stuff.
