The two NXT matches are from a house show that they used for a TV Taping - I think the only stuff aired from it was the semis of the Dusty Rhodes Classic.

Eric Young was in that three way as an injury replacement for Austin Aries.

Looking through old board threads - it appears @Ace was there live and might remember those two matches.

Jesus I'm dumb. I just now out together that these are dropping on the day before Wrestle Kingdom and that's why they all have Japanese wrestlers in them.

There ya go.... there was a reason I said “so many layers to this”

Should know later on today if that Stevens vs Robinson match is new or not. We have a few minutes but maybe not the whole thing? Any look at Stevens is welcome because he's always such a bust in footage. Robinson is a very unique opponent for him and it might give us some sense at what he could do chain-wrestling wise.

Here's the Brisco vs Thorton match

Stampede footage is a black box to me. 20 minutes for any single Stampede match seems like forever though considering how they (literally) cut the tape.

If it's 81 "Hart Brothers" has to include Bret, right? I thought that there were issues with the rights to Stampede stuff if Bret is involved in the footage.

WWEnetworknews is positing it could be a 10/10/1981 elimination bout with Davey Boy Smith, Bruce Hart, Keith Hart, and Robbie Stewart against Duke Myers, Kerry Brown, Dynamite Kid, and The Great Gama.

Stewart is Chic Cullen. That'd mean no Bret. Also, I could see an elimination match going 40 minutes and being clipped down to 20 so who knows.

WWE Network News reported that Ernie Ladd vs. Magnum TA (Houston, 1984), Ron Simmons vs. Bad News Allen (Championship Wrestling from Florida, 1986), and Brock Lesnar & Shelton Benjamin vs. Mark Henry & Mr. Black (OVW, 2000) will be tomorrow’s additions to the Network’s Hidden Gems section.

I am 99% sure that Ladd/Magnum match is the one I’m in the process of putting on the 1001 so that has been around

@Matt D would know better than me

The brain trust thinks that it's a match that we've only had JIP previously (it's on DM, but frankly I'm not convinced that's not one of the earlier matches that aired in part on TV in the summer of 84). The one we got through NWAonDemand was 11/23/84 (and it was pretty good too actually). They also wrestled  in Houston on 7/20, 8/3, 11/9 (which is what this says it is), and the cage match in December.

So if it IS the 11/9 match, with the runtime it says it has (17.28), then it's likely we only had 7 minutes of it before. We'll know soon enough.

@RIPPA

re: Flair vs Valentine. It's ridiculously clipped but still very cool.

I have no idea whether we had this or not, but the angle leading up to this series sounds great and is nothing I knew about before.

There's audio on those two pages.

Reference for the second page: The 60 minute draw between the two was 5/25. The promo is 5/28. The Valentine swerve came on 6/8. The match is 7/17.

As far as battle royals go this is one of the best and possibly most famous ever, with a loaded lineup and a big bloody turn at the end. Must see.

The Backlund/Valentine match is super fun.  I was kinda bored with it at first but they were busting out moves I had never seen before (and Backlund picking up someone's entire body with one arm is never not impressive) and I got sucked in even knowing how it ended.  But fuck whoever was blowing a whistle the whole time.

The Monroe match is from an episode of the TV show later in March (with a young-ish Gordon Solie announcing). Very interesting look at a guy who is more myth than real, albeit when he was a bit older and stoogier.

The Heenan match we had before but this is much better vq. The trade off is no sound. The trade off to the trade off is some cool footage of them coming back through the curtain.

Flordia was on Classics on Demand, we think? Not sure.

The Houston match is awesome. We did not have that on NWA on Demand. It's one-note but plays that note as well as any match ever played it. The crowd's great. The post match is as hot as you can imagine.
