With Smackdown moving to Fox on Friday nights, the Pac 12 title game that Fox airs on Friday has to go to Saturday, or to FS1. That means Fox would have the Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac 12 games for Saturday. Another concern was ratings if they don't get Oklahoma-Texas as the title game. The 2017 title game between Oklahoma and TCU drew a 3.8 rating, as opposed to 6.2 for Texas-Oklahoma in 2018. They are also blocking backup QB Austin Kendall from being immediately eligible to play at West Virginia despite him having graduated. Because the Big XII rules don't prevent them from doing so.
