Reuben Foster arrested... again... for a domestic violence charge

The Niners announced they are releasing him.

Foster had been arrested at the team hotel on Saturday night

Quote

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested Saturday night at the team hotel in Tampa, Florida, on charges of domestic violence.

An arrest report from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office said Foster was booked into jail at 11:11 p.m. He is being held without bail.

Foster was arrested by Tampa police at 9:10 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt hotel, where the team is staying before playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

--------------

According to a statement released by Tampa police, Foster and a 28-year-old woman were involved in a verbal altercation Saturday night. The woman told police that during the altercation, Foster "slapped her phone out of her hand, pushed her in the chest area and slapped her with an open hand on the right side of her face," the statement said. Police said a one-inch scratch was observed on the woman's left collarbone.

Police also said in the statement that Foster and the woman lived together in the past and had been involved in an "on-again-off-again relationship over the past three years."

It's going to be weird when all the NFC East teams are tied at 6-7...

(I wonder if it's possible for all four to be tied at 8-8 at the end of the season)

It takes a very specific set of circumstances (assuming the Giants beat the Eagles today)

Like the only game the Giants can lose the rest of the way is against the Bears, the Eagles can only lose next week to the Rams and the Skins have to lose all their remaining NFC East games but win their two AFC South games (and that isn't even factoring in whatever the hell Dallas would have to do)

Speaking of Browns/Bengals - Cleveland is absolutely putting the boots to Cincy

What the hell happened to Cincy's defense anyway? I feel like they were decent earlier this year.

Philip Rivers has been pulled for Geno Smith with the Chargers leading the Cardinals 42-10. Rivers' final numbers:

28/29, 259 yards, 3 TD

If he stays on the bench and doesn't throw another pass today, he will finish today with the highest single-game completion percentage in NFL history at 96.6%.

He also set an NFL record by completing his first 25 passes in a row.
