Niners Fan in CT
I'm not sure there's an offense in the league OTHER than the Broncos that has as many weapons as Dallas.
Death From Above
Maybe Green Bay, but even then they'd kill to have DeMarco Murray. So probably not even that. Even the Saints really don't have WR's that are honestly that great (Colston really hasn't done much this year), Jimmy Graham and Sproles just mess defenses up so bad. RIPPA
The answer to my question is 3 (3 other times teams have scored at least 48 points and lost)
dogwelder
I wonder how many teams have scored 48 points and lost According to nfl.com, the second and third highest scoring games of all time were: Cincinnati (58) vs. Cleveland (48), Nov. 28, 2004 Oakland (52) vs. Houston (49), Dec. 22, 1963 so there's at least 2. Lawful Metal
Matt Schaub rant before the Texans and 49ers: Matt Schaub has negative mobility, negative arm strength, and negative pressure awareness. What he does do well is make good decisions with the ball. Except when he doesn't. He's due at least one awful throw that's a horrible decision at least once a game. He's not even that accurate any more; Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels (and DeAndre Hopkins) will catch anything within a three foot radius in their direction. They've been bailing out Schaub for years. I'm just saying, if the best thing about Matt Schaub is that he makes good decisions with the ball except when he makes catastrophically bad decisions to lose you the game, well, maybe he shouldn't be the first option. That said, Go Texans! Beat them 49ers. Can't wait til Watt puts Kaepernick on his back.
Death From Above
This is a curious game because the Texans have struggled to get past the top teams, but they also struggle more vs. the pass than the run which isn't really San Francisco's strength. Still taking the 49ers though.
Lawful Metal
true fact: Matt Schaub has scored more points against the Texans than the Titans, Ravens and Seahawks offenses have.

JRGoldman
Matt Schaub may not be allowed back in Houston for his own safety. As an aside, Matt Schaub's safety might pick him off for a touchdown anyway.
FireThunder
The start of this game is a nightmare for the Texans so far. Pick six, Daniels commits two penalties that kill the drive when they had 3rd and 1 at the SF 16, and then to top it off, they missed the field goal... dogwelder
Denver's a 28 point favorite already against Jacksonville next week. Anyone think they won't cover?
Death From Above
People underestimate garbage time points when it comes to the spread pretty often, but in this case... nah.

Lawful Metal
That was a bullshit offensive pass interference call on Hopkins. As if SF needed the help.

Niners Fan in CT
It was a strange call but then I didn't feel the Niners pass interference on a previous drive was legit either.
Lawful Metal
It was a strange call but then I didn't feel the Niners pass interference on a previous drive was legit either.Andre gets the respect there. Plus it was a makeup call for a PI non-call earlier on Dre.Any chance we see TJ Yates in the 2nd half? Knowing Kubiak, no chance.
Niners Fan in CT
I think they allow Schaub to finish this game but if the Texans don't come back and make some noise in this half he may be in trouble...

Lawful Metal
Allegedly, Brian Cushing has stuffed Matt Schaub in a locker so JJ Watt can't murder him. I think Cushing will blame last week's concussion on why he forgot to let Matt back out.
