Zimbra 1,759 Posted January 31 Who wouldn't want to play with Dennis Smith, Lance Thomas and, uhhhhh, the stretched contract of Joakim Noah?

The Knicks must be the favorite team of so many agents.
Contentious C 607 Posted January 31 Better than actually playing with Joakim Noah - ask the currently-freefalling Griz.
RIPPA 29,389 Posted January 31 I continue to enjoy James Dolan’s misery
Zimbra 1,759 Posted January 31 I dunno, if there is evidence that James Dolan gives a shit about the Knicks except as a tax write-off I have yet to see it.
RIPPA 29,389 Posted January 31 I also assume that somehow someway Lonzo Ball will be a Knick
RandomAct 2,040 Posted January 31 Real talk, in the short term, I'm kinda sad about losing DSJ and even Deandre. But longterm, I am ready to go pants free for KP/Luka.
Zimbra 1,759 Posted January 31 So far the best nickname I've seen for the Porzingis/Luka combo is "White Flight"
RolandTHTG 2,470 Posted January 31 Just once I want to see Dirk, Luka and KP on the court at the same time.
RIPPA 29,389 Posted January 31 God it is looking dumber and dumber for the Knicks The two 1st round picks they are getting are 2021 and 2023 and BOTH are protected
Zimbra 1,759 Posted February 1 The 2021 pick is only top-5 protected, which isn't too bad. I'm not sure if we'll ever see teams trade unprotected future picks again after how spectacularly it's backfired in the past. On the other hand I may be overly optimistic about the NBA owners' ability to learn from their mistakes.
Brian Fowler 13,338 Posted February 1 Hey, Pistons get the Mavs on the right night. And Luka is out. Please don't lose this one.

sabremike 2,231 Posted February 1 Who would've thought that of all the winter sports teams in the NY Metro area the only ones who aren't currently a raging dumpster fire are the Isles and Nets???
Brian Fowler 13,338 Posted February 1 6 hours ago, RandomAct said: Y'all get the Brunson Burner tonight. Well, Pistons survived. But they are in desperate need of Ish Smith getting healthy and any NBA caliber wings. Like, the two starting wings tonight shot 1-11 and scored 4 points. When Jose Calderon stepped on the court, they immediately fell apart. As in, he played 12 minutes and finished -16! Jackson, Drummond and Blake are literally the only guys who looked half worth a damn, combining for 65, 37, and 15. But only Andre had a decent shooting percentage. I really and honestly thought they'd be better this year. Not like a title contender, but in the playoffs for sure and likely in the mix for the fourth or fifth seed. But I wasn't prepared for just how bad the wings really were going to be.

Brian Fowler 13,338 Posted February 1 The best/worst conspiracy theory is the Lakers pull off the AD trade and sign Kyrie since LeBron and him made up.
RolandTHTG 2,470 Posted February 1 I"m cool with that if it means we aren't selling half our roster for one injury prone guy. Each of the five guys on the table individually, I see the greater good in moving on. 5 at once? Fuck that.
Kuetsar 1,567 Posted February 1 I don't think the Pelicans will trade to the Lakers for anything short of every asset they have, and even then I'm not sure. If I'm them, I not trading until the draft shakes out, and I'm asking for the #1(and Zion) to start off with.
Brian Fowler 13,338 Posted February 1 Davis is trying hard to make the Lakers trade happen, and the Lakers really shouldn't be confident they can get him when he's a free agent after what happened with Paul George.
