Gonzalez
Makes ya appreciate stuff like "The Shadow" and "The Phantom", as flawed as they are. Wait didn't those guys murder people, isn't that the main reason nitpicky geeks hated MOS?
Matt D
Treat Williams in Phantom is great.
WholeFnMachine
I would love to see Ryan Gosling as the Flash/Barry Allen. As far as Batman, I think they would really better off going for a relative unknown.
Playa Shunna Ver 3.0
I would like to play Batman in this movie. I think I could do a better Batman voice then Bale, and would play the role a little closer to Mike Keaton. Gordon-Levitt would not be a believable Batman. It looks like he is still going through puberty. I just hope they don't cast the Rock or Will Smiff.
Gonzalez
I just hope they don't cast the Rock or Will Smiff. But we want a fun, and silly Batman, not the cool brooding Batman we got from the Nolan series.
Bustronaut
Brooding is only cool if you're a teen.
RandomAct
Batman can still be brooding, that's his thing, but having Superman do the same thing is counterproductive. The tone of the movie itself needs to be fun, that doesn't mean we need Adam West Batman. I mean, the Justice League cartoon pulled this off perfectly. Ligerbusa
There is Marvel fanboyism on this board, that's why we get posts about Nolanites and shit. Some people obviously despise those movies and refuse to let anyone enjoy them. Fuck me for liking The Dark Knight Trilogy and Man of Steel and finding enjoyment in them, right? I also enjoy the Marvel movies but this thread and the previous one make me feel like I'm not supposed to. Battle lines are drawn, i'm with DC.
Basara
Yeah i don't get all the fanboy stuff, is it not possible to enjoy both franchises or does that make me a bad person? Without getting into listmania with the exception 2 of the Marvel films i'd happily watch any of the Marvel movies, Dark Knight Trilogy and Man of Steel. And i'm looking forward to nearly all the upcoming comic book films. The only one i'm not sold on is the Guardians of the Galaxy but at least that is a good, if expensive, test to see if a non mainstream character can do well because of the Marvel banner behind it. Gonzalez
What if you don't like or have no desire to see many of these movies? Well there are always casualties of war.
Niners Fan in CT
Every comic book film will eventually suffer some kind of backlash from a select few. I mean there are people now attempting to shit on The Dark Knight years later. There are always those who will go against the grain or those who will never be happy because a film wasn't completely 100% faithful to the comics. Then there will be others who will shit on the films BECAUSE they were faithful to the comics. I enjoy most of these with the exception of the Iron Man sequels and maybe a few others. I'm looking forward to all of them. Peace and love.
odessasteps
I'd rather see a film that maintains the spirit of the comic (the Rocketeer) than one that is slavishly faithful but tone deaf (Watchmen).
MarcosLoura
This has become the most pointless discussion ever. (Almost) Everyone is making this into a DC vs Marvel war instead of talking about the quality of the movie.
Gonzalez
Superman/Batman logo without the blurry photo...
Bustronaut
Dick around with the Superman logo however you want, but for god's sake don't touch anything on the bat-logo.
Niners Fan in CT
Just curious why are you still in this thread? I mean you can post anywhere you like but it appears that you hate all things Nolan, all things Snyder, all things goyer, why continue to put yourself through it?
Bustronaut
It stands for hope, hope for a good movie. Also, I happen to like Batman Begins & The Dark Knight quite a bit. Also, inception, The Prestige, Insomnia, Memento, Legend of The Guardians, 300, Dawn of The Dead, The Blade movies, Ghost Rider, and Dark City
Niners Fan in CT
You liked Ghost Rider? Really?
Bustronaut
It was fun! I was disappointed in GR 2 because it wasn't the balls-to-the-wall Crank-fest I had been promised.
Basara
I'm not sold on the new Batman logo, it seems to cartoony if that makes sense? Man of Steel was (maybe overly) serious and something about the new logo just doesn't seem to fit, i dunno.
EVA
Yeah, I don't like what they did with the Batman logo at all. The BATMAN/SUPERMAN logo that showed up in I AM LEGEND looked way better.
Raziel
The Bat-logo is fine. Its closer to the current comics logo/The Dark Knight Returns logo, which is fine if that's what they're going for.
Gonzalez
If that logo is final, then they are basing it on The Dark Knight Returns logo. They may even introduce the grey Bat-suit.
