The Natural Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 From the best Tajiri/Super Crazy match, the Mexican Death Match. ECW on TNN, 15th January 2000. Tajiri was awesome in this match and the whole year. 5

Rude was headed toward a face turn and feud with Vader before his injury in 1994. Vader's face turn came in Hogan WCW and he wasn't around that much longer, so I think we can retcon that out of existence.
The Great ML Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 There was a Worldwide where Rude hit the ring after a Vader squash and showed tremendous badass babyface fire...then cut a promo. Ahh, what could have been. 2

I wonder what career he would have had if he wasn't a pro wrestler. I see him as a therapist, maybe a drug counselor. I'm certain he would work with kids to try and keep them away from drugs and gangs and whatnot. 1

Willingly and enthusiastically talked to me for an hour about everything from the 70s up until today over a few beers at a casino bar last year. Even asked me for a picture at the end of the night before I was able to ask him for one. Crazy. 6
Jiji Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 He kind of came off as less than "nicest guy ever" in his RF Video shoot. Mind you, I cannot hold somebody being grumpy around Rob Feinstein, especially somebody like Steamboat who actually wanted to hold a conversation about something he's passionate about, rather than listen to a pederast list off a bunch of inane, generic questions. 1

This has been totally forgotten but Vader also turned face in 1990 as he saved Ricky Morton and Tommy Rich from the Freebirds. I think it was because they didn't want to have a heel vs heel match and had booked Vader vs Hansen for Wrestle War. Vader was rarely in WCW in 1991 and I think they just forgot by October as he was back as a heel at Halloween Havoc in the Chamber of Horrors match.
The Natural Posted October 2, 2018 Author Posted October 2, 2018 Love Molly Holly and Ricky Steamboat. As Monty Python would say:Â #Andnowforcompletelydifferent: 3

Michael Sweetser Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 From what I've been told by my friends that have done visits at the Performance Center for NXT tryouts, Steamboat curses up a storm there. Not kidding.

But it's cursing done in a nice context, like, "holy shit, dude? How's your god-damn family? Did your mom kick that fucking gout?" 2 4
