I was going to ask about changing the thread title yesterday and then forgot. :)

tomorrow is the reverse fixture (Gerona at FCB) so there may be protests and what not.

also today, a Palace player got hit by a bottle that came from the Newcastle away end.

RFEF said they would not approve the game being played overseas.

LaLiga insist they want to play the game overseas.

Honestly, if LaLiga really wants to grow the league overseas, they should start by actually getting a TV deal that's accessible to more people than beIN. A deal with ESPN like Serie A would be a good start, but that won't be happening anytime soon as beIN has the rights until 2020.

Speaking of ESPN, they also purchased the rights to the Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup.

Now Florentino Perez says Real Madrid isn't playing overseas and Girona are close to pulling out a 2-2 draw on a 10 man Barça at the Camp Nou...

Meanwhile, Spurs are playing tonight's Carabao Cup tie against Watford 50 miles out of town at Milton Keynes due to Wembley's unavailability. You seriously want to tell me that was their best option?

I can't imagine The Emirates or Stamford Bridge wanting to host that Carabao Cup fixture...

Leyton Orient? Charlton? QPR? Brentford? Reading? Hell, Millwall?

Leganés pull a 2-1 comeback win against Barça at Butarque and Sevilla trash Madrid 3-0 at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán with a brace from André Silva. Bad defense from both giants. What a goal from Coutinho for Barça, though.

André Silva has been on fire for Sevilla this season after having flopped at Milan last season. People are trying to spin this as a LaLiga sucks, Serie A is better, but if anything his form in Spain is just proving how garbage Milan has been for a while now.

And Pablo Fornals scored this beauty:

And he pulled this skill move off:

What a day in Spanish football.

Leyton Orient seats less than 10,000 and are now a non-League side. Charlton's home ground seats about 27,000. QPR seats about 18,000. Reading's ground seats 24,000. Brentford seats around 12,000. Millwall's Den seats 20,000.

MK Dons seat 30,500. It's all about the money.

But they were never going to get a sellout crowd playing 50 miles away from their base. Announced attendance at MK was 23,650 which would've been fine at Charlton and Reading.
