We know how these reports have been so far but...

Bob Nightengale (I know, I know) is reporting that Eric Chavez is the favorite to replace Mike Scioscia as LAA manager

For what it is worth, Scioscia is saying he wants to manage in 2019

Molitor down in Minny

Others are saying that - while he is definitely out as manager - he will be taking another role in the organization

Once again class, great players do not necessarily make great managers...

Now, if the Twins don't already have something like a "Roving Hitting Instructor" where they can take advantage of what Molly did better than all but a few dozen guys in history they need to create such a position for Molly stat.   Molly isn't in the HOF because he was a great manager, I think he's in there for something to do with hitting a baseball...

Ted Williams disagrees!  Oh wait.  Uh... Don Mattingly!  No... uh...Ryne Sandberg!  Ty Cobb!  Uh...maybe you're on to something.

Per Ken Rosenthal - Buck Showalter is completely done with the Orioles

They had been talk that ownership was trying to get him to take another job with the front office but looks like that didn't happen

The two guys who managed the Mets to our World Series titles weren't too bad as players, so there's that.

Davey is actually the kind of guy who does really well as a manager.  A mostly OK player, nothing special.  He basically had one year and then the rest were 'meh".

Hodges was a great player for sure.  Not all great players end up being lousy managers - Mickey Cochrane is another one that was a good manager.
