Yeah, Okada was #1 in 2017.

Just so you know, the timeline is July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018. I’ll add that to my post.

Thanks for the timeline. Long time since I read a PWI magazine. Now knowing said timeline, I'd still have Kazuchika Okada as my #1.

I definitely can see an argument for Kenny as #1 since he dethroned Okada but I really don’t get AJ being higher than Okada. I don’t see any argument that AJ had a better run than Okada in that timespan, in terms of kayfabe and actual quality. Okada had better matches, bigger matches, and was more successful in kayfabe.

I pulled this to make its own thread mainly because the August thread will be locked soon enough.

Enough people also like to find some humor in them

Going by the list if Brock worked over 10 matches in the timeframe he would have been #1 according to their logic.

He's the worst wrestler in his own tag team.

He's the worst 'best wrestler in the world' certainly.

I miss the good old days when we would argue over spots 280, 283, and 286 in the DVDVR 500.

I don't think Braun would be in my personal 100. He is so stale for me, I am over him flipping things and roaring and doing multiple slams.

My personal #1 is Yoshiaki Fujiwara. Would you dare pick against him if he was in the room?

I'm curious to know who #500 was, but can't find it anywhere.

A couple of the database sites usually upload it eventually - I think it’s online in a digital form at the moment (ie: not on actual newsstands)

Note that almost all the guys on that page are east coast guys as usual for PWI.

Unless you're around LA, there's just more wrestling in the NE and SE due to population centers. I'm sure there's a thriving scene in Montana we know nothing about.
