Also from the "I am grasping at straws category" - Christopher Robin's RT score is back down to 70% which will drop it below Solo.

Every little bit will count...

The improving reviews for Christopher Robin will slow my descent, but they won't bring me up in the standings,.

That would require everyone above me in placings to have The Happytime Murders in their Top 10 BO, RT, or both.

Nobody is that stupid..

MILDLY IMPORTANT NEWS

I was updating my spreadsheet just now when I realized that I had Happytime Murders down as opening on August 17th, but it actually opens on August 24th.  Maybe they switched the release date at some point, or maybe I just always had it wrong.

So, I thought Happytime Murders would hit 28 days on September 13th, but that'll actually be on September 20th... which means the contest will finish 7 days later than I thought, which means there will actually be 21 updates, not 20.

Yeah, they changed the release date which I guess was because Crazy Rich Asians was going to smash at the BO.

Crazy Rich Asians had a fucking monster jump on Tuesday (bigger than usual).  It's possible it could do $20M+ again this weekend. I think it'll be close.

Went up 52% from Monday. Damn

HTM is up to 26%.  I think the reviews will be mixed enough to keep it out of the cellar of summer ratings.

It should nestle somewhere between Action Park and Overboard.

It won't even be close to being the worst reviewed movie of the summer.  That honor belongs to Golden Raspberry contender, Slender Man (9%).

Man. J.T. and I have the exact same score and breakdown. If this were purely Box Office we'd be first and second but we are clearly TERRIBLE at the RT side of things.

I blame Christopher Robin.

I am not sure what the math is but I miss a prize because CR sneaks back past Solo on the RT list - I will flip a fucking table

CR is still at 70% right now but since it has so many fewer reviews than Solo I am awaiting a last minute positive review to fuck me
