Elsalvajeloco
I saw The Meg around noon on Saturday. The showing I went to was about 75% percent full at least in the largest auditorium of that particular theater. Color me surprised.
Paco
I put The Meg at the bottom of both my lists. Looks like I didn't have to wait for the puppets to take me down.
J.T.
Crazy Rich Asians has 31 reviews in and is 100% Fresh. That is probably the movie that would've killed us if Christopher Robin had not disappointed us all.

It was the most omitted movie from the lists. Of the 28 of us, 11 people have it on their box office list, and 9 people have it on their RT list. For box office, nearly everyone who has it on there put it very close to the bottom of their list. 7 of the 11 people put it dead last, 10 of the 11 put it in their bottom 3. RT placement is more spread out. As has been mentioned, Paco and The Z, who are both top 3 in the standings right now, both put it in their top 5.

RIPPA
Looking at Box Office Mojo - The Meg got to basically $84 million after week 2 which for our purposes moves it to #11. It definitely will catch Equalizer 2 - the question is can it beat Mamma Mia Meanwhile - Christopher Robin will finish ahead of Skyscraper in the BO Oh and - it appears that Mission Impossible did not catch Ant Man
RIPPA
Also from the "I am grasping at straws category" - Christopher Robin's RT score is back down to 70% which will drop it below Solo. Every little bit will count...

Literally no one put The Meg higher on their box office list than Ocean's 8. I could see how The Meg might have less staying power than some of the other movies, though. S.K.o.S.
MILDLY IMPORTANT NEWS I was updating my spreadsheet just now when I realized that I had Happytime Murders down as opening on August 17th, but it actually opens on August 24th. Maybe they switched the release date at some point, or maybe I just always had it wrong. So, I thought Happytime Murders would hit 28 days on September 13th, but that'll actually be on September 20th... which means the contest will finish 7 days later than I thought, which means there will actually be 21 updates, not 20.
