I'm getting the impression that Action Point may be out of theaters altogether by this Friday.  It's got last place on the box office list pretty much wrapped up anyway, so no big deal if it doesn't make it to 28 days.

Oh yeah - there is no way it is making it to $6 million. Heck, it might not even make 5.

It didn't even make $1 million last weekend. I mean, A Quiet Place beat it and that has been out for 10 weeks

Well since I posted - it has dipped to 61%

But now you know how I feel about Jurassic World (which at least has gone down to 60%)

Superfly was really low (33% or 36% -ish) when the first dozen reviews rolled out. When I saw that it rose to 66%, I thought that was a typo.

Now it's at 58%.

If this actually makes a profit and continues to get decent reviews, DVDVR Films may have to put our modern reboot of Cotton Comes To Harlem on the fast track.

The entire cast of the new Superfly joint was on Tom Joyner's morning show yesterday and everyone sung its praises, so there is a faction pulling for this movie to be successful financially and critically.

Even midding 50-ish percent reviews and a decent profit could signal that there is a market for Blaxploitation reboots set in present day.

In a move that will surprise no one, Bounce will air Superfly and Superfly TNT on the Saturday Night Blaxploitation Double Feature this weekend.

Superfly just needs to beat JW for me to be pleased.

If the percentages hold like they are today, prepare for disappointment.  Superfly is a 52% and advance reviews for JW have it at 60%

I think you will be okay as the inundation of negative reviews for JW should hit by next week and Superfly should hold between 45% and 52% depending on how many more reviews come in.

Incredibles 2 sitting at 94% is infuriating because I know that most of that is nostalgia shit reviews because those assholes cannot bring themselves to review the sequel as high as or higher than the original.

On the plus side, I'm still in the Top 10.

On the minus side, I'm at #9 and moved a grand total of zero spots upward.

I should see a rise in stock once Increidibles 2 finishes counting the millions of dollars it made over Father's Day weekend and opens to fairly stellar reviews..

Was right about this. I think this is a first for this contest.

Only one that looks close would have been My Life in Ruins which you said only made like $8 million

It's not just that it's the lowest money maker, it's that it's the first movie in this contest that didn't even make it to 28 days in theaters.  You can't see it anywhere now as far as I can tell, it's done.

That Superfly number is low enough I'm wondering if I might be a genius for having Action Point above it in BO.

Signs point to no.  Action Park didn't even make it 28 days and barely made five million and last weekend was Superfly's debut and it made two million bucks.  It has a good shot to more than Action Park.
