Slight tweak to release schedule that concerns the pool

Crazy Rich Asians is now coming out Aug 15 (two days earlier)

Crazy Rich Asians isn't in the pool.  It was up for inclusion for one of the last 2 spots but didn't get enough votes.  Got me to pull up the spreadsheet though... didn't get enough sleep last night.

God bless that little bear - gave me so much joy as a child and now finding ways to do so in new ways as an adult.

Also: saw the first 10 or so minutes of Incredibles 2 at Disneyland the other day and yea ... really happy I put that as high as I did on both lists.

WNBB basically hit his tiebreaker dead on (he was off by 0.03%), hence the 0.

I would be angrier about this but Solo and Christopher Robin are going to dick me over

And just to be sure - don't you mean 0.003? If mine is 0.009 and he is ahead of me...

0.03% = 0.0003.  I've got the formatting set up to round to 3 decimal places so it shows up as 0.

Marc Forster tends to hit in the mid-60s on RT more than anything else, with two films in the 80s and a couple in the high 20s/low 30s. I'm hoping he hits pretty close to the median on this one. Maybe end up like Kite Runner which did 66 for critics vs. 84 audience. Doesn't matter how much people like it as long as it's got some flaw that keeps critics tentative.

EDIT: I'm actively hoping for movies shooting for joy not to deliver. What have I become?

The only thing that might save myself as one of the several folks who had Solo above Deadpool 2 on the BO list is the fact DP2 had a Covenant like drop in the 2nd week. I knew Solo was going to be at least shitty enough to not score high critically, but I still need it to do well commercially. $100-$115 million is very disappointing opening weekend but if it doesn't have a sharp decline, it can still surpass Deadpool 2 at some point.

So who had Solo underperforming?

The lowest anyone had it on their box office list was 6th.  That was three people: Ace, blitzkrieg and King Leonidas.  6th might actually still be a touch too low?  Solo gets beat by Infinity War, Deadpool, Jurassic World, Incredibles, and what else?  Something would have to overperform.

No one left Solo off their box office list btw.

Ant-man and the Wasp would have the best chance.

I mean, anyone who didn't have it at 2nd/3rd. I think a lot of people saw it coming, but underperforming for Star Wars still means top 5 in a season, just not 1st/2nd range. And frankly, Star Wars films tend to have a longer tail than some other blockbusters. It lacks serious competition in the next couple weeks and being a film for the family gives it a wider audience than Deadpool 2. I'll be shocked if it doesn't outpace it by the end of the first month, honestly.
