God Dammit - this is not the week for Infinity War to be coming out. So much pressure.

Okay - gotta do this today.

Stupid everything

These were my exact thoughts while I was working on my ballot yesterday.

I am hoping my gamble on critic backlash against Avengers: IW hype pays off.  I need a handful of assholes to hate for the sake of hating so that Incredibles 2 & Christopher Robin slip by in total positive reviews.

The review embargo currently in place for IW makes me feel good, but the stellar spoiler free reviews from various geek bloggers is troubling.

It shouldn't. My understanding is this late an embargo has more to do with hiding spoilers rather than concealing sub-optimal quality.

Regardless, I would assume Incredibles 2 has the RT rankings on lock.

DreamBroken was entrant #12. Add the documentary THE WORK to the list of prizes.

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSwXc9QOhdeyFLiDSMQpgu

Set inside a single room in Folsom Prison, three men from the outside participate in a 4-day group therapy retreat with a group of incarcerated men for a real look at the challenges of rehabilitation.

"It's an often tense and exhilarating glimpse into a moment in time that lets men prioritize honesty and tears over superficial displays of strength." - Robert Abele, TheWrap.com

"Perhaps the most enlightening thing about the documentary is its reminder that there are reasons why people become criminals. Calling someone 'bad' or 'evil' is too easy." - Mike McGranaghan, AisleSeat.com

Avengers - IW is currently sitting at 86% Fresh on RT.

Hopefully it won't drop any lower than that or rise any higher than 90-ish%.  I need some ceiling for Christopher Robin and Incredibles 2 to wiggle past it.

BO wise, yeah, IW being the BO hoss of the summer seems to be on track.

Actually its 88% (with 100 reviews)

But I can already tell I am gonna start bitching again about the movies that have 250 reviews that bone me (like Wonder Woman last year) because there will be some movies with only like 30 reviews

Anywhere near 90% bodes well for me as long as Christopher Robin and Incredibles 2 are the heralded darlings of all movie critics.

I am still concerned about it only being #2 on my RT ballot because it will end up with 30 reviews at 100% Fresh while Incredibles 2 will get like 25555555 reviews and be at 98% Fresh.
