I'm a bit :-( that they were never given any enhancement talent to do over in NXT. I'm kinda assuming they'll be bumped up to 205 Live if/when they introduce tag belts.

It's quite funny given the size of 'Martin Stone' 15 years ago that he's set to end up in the Cruiserweight division.

Will be interesting to see if Trent Seven tries to cut weight so Moustache Mountain can get on the show.

That's a pretty classy response from Cody.  To me it always seemed like it was an amicable split from WWE and tweets like that show it to be the case.  Plus if he was there there's be lots of unnecessary rumors that could potentially take away from the final.

Spoiler

WWE has announced four tournaments as well as wrestlers like Walter and Keith Lee appearing at Axxess over the next week in New Orleans.

The company will have four different eight-man tournaments, evidently for title shots at the U.K. title, the North American title, and NXT tag team title and the NXT women's title.

Talent for Axxess will come mainly for NXT, but also 205 Live wrestlers, and talent from WWN and Progress, who both have financial deals with WWE.

The U.K. title shot tournament will have Lio Rush, Buddy Murphy, Dan Matha, Drew Gulak, Lince Dorado, Raul Mendoza, Mark Andrews and Zack Gibson. It will be the debut of Gibson and seems to confirm stories that he is NXT-bound.

The North American tournament has Fabian Aichner (weird that he's in North America while guys like Rush, Matha and Gulak are in the U.K. tournament and Wolfgang is in the North American tournament), Jason Kincaid (a WWN regular), Akira Tozawa, Reeves, Christopher Dijak, Ariya Daivari, Hideo Itami and Wolfgang.

The tag team tournament has Trent Seven & Tyler Bate, Riddick Moss & Tino Sabbatelli, Street Profits, Cezar Bononi & Adrian Jaoude, Sanity, Wesley Blake & Steve Cutler, TM 61 and Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch. It's notable this tournament takes place right after a tournament on NXT television just ended. In addition, Lorcan & Burch have issued a challenge at Axxess to War Machine.

The women's tournament has Nikki Cross, Aliyah, Bianca Belair, Kairi Sane, Dakota Kai, Lacey Evans, Candice LeRae and Peyton Royce.

Axxess will also two WWN title defenses by Lee, as well as defenses of the Progress men's, women's and tag team titles, matches which won't be announced until after the two Progress shows on 4/6 and 4/7.

The first WWN title defense will be Lee vs. Kassius Ohno, with the storyline being that Ohno, as Chris Hero, defeated Lee in Evolve, in one of Hero's last matches with the promotion. This match will take place on 4/6, meaning the winner will face Daisuke Sekimoto on 4/7, and the winner of that match will defend on the Axxess event on 4/8.

Ohno also has a singles match with Walter on 4/7.

There will be five Fan Axxess sessions from 4/6 to 4/8 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

On 4/5 at 6 p.m., UK tournament bouts are Lio Rush vs. Murphy and Matha vs. Gulak, North American title matches are Aichner vs. Kincaid and Tozawa vs. Kona Reeves, tag tourney matches are Seven & Bate vs. Moss & Sabbatelli and Street Profits vs. Bononi & Jaoude, and women's tournament bouts are Cross vs. Aliyah and Belair vs. Sane. In addition, Lee will defend his WWN title against Ohno and others who will be wresting at that session include TJP, Kalisto and Jack Gallagher.

On 4/6 at 5 p.m., UK tourney bouts are Dorado vs. Mendoza and Andrews vs. Gibson, North American tourney with Dijak vs. Daivari and Itami vs. Wolfgang, tag tourney with Sanity vs. Cutler & Blake and TM 61 vs. Lorcan & Burch and women's tournament bouts with Kai vs. Evans and LeRae vs. Royce.

On 4/7, at 8 a.m. there will be some semifinals of all four tournaments.

At 1 p.m. will be the finals of the North American tournament, U.K. tournament semifinals and a match for the Evolve tag team championship.

On 4/7 at 6 p.m. will be the finals of the U.K., Women's and tag team tournaments plus Walter vs. Ohno and TJP, Kalisto and Gran Metalik in matches.

The final show will be on 4/8, the morning of WrestleMania, at 8 a.m.,with Pete Dunne defending the U.K. title against the tournament winner, plus the winners of the North American, Women's and NXT tag title matches the night before will all defend against the tournament winners. There will also be matches for the WWN title, the Progress world title, the Progress women's title and the Progress tag team titles.

Full Axxess Lineup is insane considering these are (theoretically) non-televised convention show matches.

Yeah, folks can go back on forth on him as a performer, but he's clearly got his head screwed on straight.
