"Rage Against the Machine has been described as rap metal, rap rock, funk metal, alternative metal, and nu metal." "System of a Down's music has variously been termed alternative metal, nu metal, hard rock, progressive metal, thrash metal, art rock and avant-garde metal" Guys, in the interest of finding an impartial arbiter to settle this, I asked Rob Zombie if both bands were in the same genre, and he repeatedly and emphatically said “Yeahhhh”, so that’s that. 1
paintedbynumbers
so it's Matt Riddle vs Suzuki at GCW Bloodsport this afternoon. Not a bad replacement at all! Also crazy to hear Johnny Vallient passed away maybe 10 mins from my house. The news had reported the accident but hadn't released a name. Crazy to see it was him. If you get the mods where it's extra bloody it makes it that much better.

Iron Mike Sharpe with an arm sling, mooing like a cow, stamping his feet, and charging his opponent would have been awesome. My main issues with Minotaur are obviously his ring work and the lack of commitment to the gimmick. If you're called the Minotaur, I want something closer to what Mantaur ended up being. Nothing about the Minotaur said Greek mythology. Maybe, I take my Greek pride too seriously being 75% Greek. The other quarter is Italian. ...and I know Orthodox Easter isn't until Sunday, but this is for my Greek brother from another mother, NikoBaltimore:
Log
Minotaur looked so sad coming to the ring. I think he's disappointed in his gimmick too. 1

Beech27
Maybe we can bring it together with a productive discussion of where Elias fits in the folk punk tradition, with his use of acoustic instrumentation, squatting in-ring in order to perform unauthorized sets, belief in direct action to affect change (hitting people with his guitar), and general call to collective action (Walk with...), while flaunting the typical aesthetic of a poor and dirty traveler, instead incorporating aspects more commonly associated with glam or classic rock, like scarves, and in so doing rejecting the rigid hypermasculine sensitivity that has pervaded so much of the DIY punk scene. 8

Same with ROH, NXT, CZW etc. The indy's bring it this week and for that I am happy. Wrestlemania has been pretty predictable the last few years and this year looks no different. For every great AJ-Nakamura you have a shitty Lesnar-Reigns 5-6 hrs is going to be a chore this yr as it was last.

Indy shows and concerts in small venues have sort of turned me off from big arena events. In a few weeks, I'm going to nxt at the Sands Bethlehem Casino arena. It maybe holds 1,000-2,000 people. I went when nxt ran there last year. I've also gone both times they've run Asbury Park. I'm leaning toward doing the indy shows and skipping WM next year when its back in New Jersey.

Just Dave
So, can I run a gimmick by you guys? I'm 35, but i'm 6'3, 240, and ive been training for the last couple months. I'll post video as it becomes available, but the concept is solid, as far as i can tell. There's an Eagles b-side from the LONG RUN record called "The Disco Strangler." It's about young women who succumb to the "lifestyle" of the time, and I believe it's a metaphor for cocaine and it's effects on users. I'm portraying the son of a late-70's serial killer called "The Disco Strangler," who's inherited his father's proclivities but has found a more productive outlet. I can cry on command, so my pre-match promo is basically "why are y'all making me do this? I don't want to hurt anyone." And then I tap someone out in a couple minutes, hence the "Strangler" part of the "Disco Strangler." After the match, I turn back into the hapless son of evil...
