Ahh. Forgot about that. I know they have a UFC show there that Punk is supposedly gonna be at. Thought that’s they alluded to.

UFC 225 is in June and the UFC runs the United Center.

I assume wwe is waiting to announce they are going to run Chicago the day before the Cody show.

I don't know.  WWE could come off looking really bad if they did a show the day before, and then an indie show did a similar or better crowd the next day.  I don't even know numbers, does WWE even draw 10,000 at a non-televised house show?  I assume they'd take the "pretend it's not happening" approach.

Oh god fucking dammit...

I'm picturing Meltzer as Mr. Burns now. If someone disagrees with him on a match, he releases literal hounds who literally tear into the person. He also has dogs with bees in their mouth who shoot bees when they open their mouths to bark.

Aside from reasons already mentioned I would guess because fans already have awareness of Moolah due the Attitude era and WWE's continued mentions of her. How many are really aware of Burke outside of smarks? Of course even with that it makes little sense why they couldn't have gone with Chyna or Sherri.

Chyna is pretty obvious, that would be weird without the porn and early death. Sherri died young and that is near the top of WWE sins. .

I must say that I rather like Dave figuratively boxing young Bix's ears. It's something that ought to be done every few months or so just on general principles.

Did you see the tweet that started all this?  Some dude tweeted at Meltzer that the Roderick vs Cedric match on 205 was great, and Dave's response was "You'd get to see matches that good every week if you watched someting besides WWE," which is douchey as hell.  Meltzer deserved to get dragged.

In case anyone missed it - the official announcement of WrestleMania 35 being at MetLife Stadium (NY/NJ) is being done today

All the other events will be at the Barclays Center (Brooklyn)

Mania will be April 7, 2019

I am interested to see where they do Summerslam then

“It’s the Brooklyn Bridge!”

Quite the coincidence you brought that up, since the greatest trolljob in Wrestling Observer Radio history was someone once asking him in the mailbag "Bret Hart once bought a mansion from Monty Burns, do you know if he ever sold it back to him?"  And Dave legit spent about two minutes trying to answer it.  "I know he bought property in Calgary...I don't remember him ever buying anything in the United States..."

It's okay if you die of "natural" causes like Eddie or Warrior but dying young and courtesy of drugs, that's a WWE no-go.
