Conversely, if Smackdown was great right now we'd be talking about how smart he is and who knew what a great booker he'd end up being. The constant is always going to be Vince and company, so you gotta take the shame and the credit the same way.

I would be saying the same thing either way. Even the initial split period that was pretty good.

If anything Dogg probably has more say in lower card stuff like Rusev, Breezango and the like. I don't think he was busting a nut for a six month Jinder Mahal main event run.

If he were on Twitter in 09, he would have been defending shit TNA booked too.

They actually already did that bit with Sasha and Alexa wrestling in bodysuits, calling it historic.

Amazing, right?  Vince would run a show in the pre Civil War south, run a main event of "12 colored boys vs A Gorilla," and call it a historic night for civil rights.

Well, Goldberg is a fucking idiot. Second, I thought that was the Kronik 2v1, where he went head first into the post, because: see first post.

I think he did it more than once.  So yeah, "fucking idiot" sounds about right.

Not going to lie, I am wondering who would win.

Well we're talking about a guy who almost disabled himself for life punching out a non-gimmicked window because breaking it with a crowbar "isn't something Goldberg would do."

It's a reference to an old time newspaper ad that Google can't find right now and I'm scared to really search hard for it.

It does sound like something that would put you on a watchlist. Or get you a White House job.

The gorilla, duh.  Gorillas aren't indigenous to the South, last time I checked.  And Vince doesn't pass up too many chances to job the hometown guy(s) out.

In my day you just took a Bret Hart bump into the turnbuckles and by god, we were lucky!

I wish someone would bring that spot back. It always looked pretty vicious.

we never got a New Jack-Gorilla Monsoon feud in SMW, and life suddenly seems futile.

Gorilla Monsoon intros an SMW show screaming " Welcome to Knoxville! They are literally hanging from the rafters here tonight!"

New Jack takes it the wrong way, comes out and beats the shit out of him...

Well he would try. I would not test even an elderly Monsoon

Until I imagined it, Monsoon giant-swinging New Jack through a turnbuckle-leaning table was something I didn’t know I wanted to see so badly.

Also, New Jack back-bodydropping Ric Flair directly into a grocery cart filled with plunder, then using a staplegun on Flair’s forehead as Flair screams “OH GOD!”

This talk bout the New Jack/Monsoon dream match got me thinking: I heard on one of the YouTube news things I watch that there was some software that people were using to put mainstream actresses' faces into porn clips.

Has anyone attempted to do that for wrestlingsuperimpose the faces of wrestlers into matches that they weren't a part of?  Could we see Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat in a 2006 ROH ring?

(Granted, this could be used to pull off Stevie Richards' WWE title win at Mania XX, after all...)

Yeah, OK, curious as to how a Flair/Steamboat super-imposed porn clip plays out.

Nuh nuh, I struck out the part that made that a thing.
