Raw 9-16-13

Orton still grosses me out and I'd rather Stephanie McMahon weren't on my TV, but that was a great show.  I hated that "Virgil" shit, though.

As for talk about how Steph gets her comeuppance:  Sure, as soon as Vince joins Team Bryan.  Daddy puts daughter in her place.  Or yeah, someone just drops some poo from the ceiling or something.

I really, really, really wish Ryback would lose the phony mannerisms, because I love his bully character.  But all that licking and neck cracking just looks so bunk, it takes me right out of the character.  Just "turn it up", man, quit faking it.

Man.  Do we have to re-evaluate who the saddest Virgil is now?

I think I might be right about the white trash porn director thing.

Miz KOs bad genetics.

He put all of his character points into appearance Charisma instead of talent Dexterity.

Damn it.  Nerd better.

Depends on the game system, we talkin D&D derived? GURPS? Fate? WoD?  Home brewed larp?

I'm basing it on a customized DikuMUD codebase (incorporating elements of merc, of course) that portrays a post-Stephenson cyberpunk reality with heavy Netrunner elements (the InQuest award-winning CCG, not the Johnny-come-lately Android: Netrunner).

I have played both netrunners... Ah Sophmore year of high school.  CCG's WWF, and NWO shirts all over school....

I've only played the CCG (but loved it).  I basically never play board games, however.  Knowing that, is the board game with checking out?

Its ok.  I haven't played enough of it to really judge it beyond that, I would check your FLGS to see if they have a demo of it

Apparently, he owns a Mr. Hero's restertaunt. Per Miz, his dad wanted him to go to college, then work in the restertaunt alongside him and eventually take over.

This was around the time he dropped out of college and decided to take his chances in Hollywood and reality TV.

These two facts may or may not have anything to do with each other.

I think they are building towards a Wargames match, for sure. HHH and his old school ways + Wargames DVD + Dusty's face all over that DVD means I think the good guys will challenge the bad guys to a Wargames match. Then, there's a few tricks they could pull. They could go straight and narrow, with D-Bry/Cody/Dustin/Dolph (or Miz, but I'd use Dolph)/Show vs. Orton/Shield/Triple H. Show finally gets to nuke HHH with the WMD, D-Bray wins, everyone goes home happy. Another option could be

D-Bry/Cody/Dustin/Show vs. Orton/Shield; Orton ends up suspended or something for doing something stupid, they build up a 4 on 3, with the SHield having no allies, then SHow turns on them to join the Corps, nuclear heat a la Sting in the NWO. Or, to make it even better, right after Show turns mid-match (by having HHH come out and give him "the nod"), HHH reinstates Orton, and it becomes a 5 on 3 bloodbath.

I wish I could have been there the first time Maryse met Miz's dad.

*Looks at Miz... Then looks at his dad... Then looks back at Miz* *Shrugs her shoulders*

Maryse: Well, at least you'll still have your hair.

Miz: My dad's 40.

Maryse: ......

I think there is more potential with reluctant, weepy Big Show on the heel team in that scenario.

Big Show must be a nightmare to watch The Notebook with.

This could be Stephanie's new thing.

"Big Show.  I know you need a paycheck tonight, so you're going to sit in this chair and watch this DVD of DANCER IN THE DARK.  And when you're done with that, you're going to go over to that desk and write out the lyrics to Cat's in the Cradle. Now sit down and get started."

"Why?????? WWWWWWWHYYYYYY?!?!?!?!?!??!"

Sadly, he could watch the movie twice in the time it takes them to get through RAW...and still have time to throw on "Jurassic Bark."

Maybe that's how Big Show does it. He watches Jurassic Bark right before coming down to the ring, and the real talent is holding off the tears until it's time.

Any time Big Show needs to work up the tears to cry he just remembers that time in 2001 when WWE management told him he was going to have to go on a diet and couldn't go to Mcdonalds anymore.

Isn't she supposed to be a fashion designer or something? You think she could at least give him some tips to avoid looking like a stoned Judas Priest roadie.
