hammerva
In keeping with Ring of Honor would the $40 code only work on Bullet Club merchandise?
EVA
I don't know, but I'd love it if all ROH merch rang up as "Bullet Club" like old WCW figures used to all ring up as "Hulk Hogan."
paintedbynumbers
ROH shipping alone is usually close to $10 . Someone mentioned that they have 2008 shows up on the honor club now. Whether they work or not is another story.

Brandi Rhodes winning the title would be a slap in the face to Deonna Purrazzo. RoH putting the inaugural title on one of the first women ever to work a match in the fed is perfectly acceptable.
Nice Guy Eddie
I saw Sumie on the Final Battle 2003 pre-show, so I have no idea how her winning is slap in the face to anyone.
jstout
Think back - has ROH EVER had an Internet live broadcast go successfully? Regular ol'' PPV, yeah, but internet broadcasts? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me 76 times ...
Jiji
Fair. It was a new service so there was a chance they weren't cheaping out. There's also a chance that Gabe doesn't cheap out on bandwidth too.

Brian Fowler
Only caught the last three matches. Didn't expect that winner in the main event. Lethal/Gresham was again absolutely fantastic. Cheap finish on the First Blood Match. Did he blade his fucking hand?
caley
Bix article on ROH's biggest show (Weird that he puts over it as their biggest show while not really touching on the PPV problems) but the best part is Joe Koff/ROH being praised for their handling of LGBT storylines/characters and Koff trying to tap dance around saying anything in his replies for fear of Sinclair being unhappy. https://deadspin.com/roh-wrestlings-biggest-show-ever-is-in-the-books-so-no-1825242660/amp?__twitter_impression=true
Hagan
Eh, I think Bix was a little unfair to Koff there at the end. Koff isn't creative. It's not his job to say what Dalton Castle and (especialy) the Ibushi/Omega characters are. And it's definite paranoia to think Sinclair cares one way or another about LGBQT representation on their TV. edit: eh, paranoia isn't the right word. Wanted to clarify. Sinclair has its issues but to think Koff is scared to TALK about it but not scared to actually show it on their program because it will attract attention seems not likely. Archibald
Yeah, one would think that showing something on TV would be a bigger problem than talking about it somewhere. But whats up with this Sinclair boogeyman in the first place? From what I remember some time ago issue with Sinclair was that it didn't care about RoH at all while now it looks like whenever something bad happens with RoH (or something that someone doesn't like) Sinclair gets name dropped immediately. Jenalysis
There was a viral youtube vid about 30 or so different Sinclair stations spewing out a rather blatant propaganda piece that Trump wanted, followed by some Sinclair folks saying they hated to do it, so Sinclair's a boogeyman right now. Sinclair is considered one of Trump's strongest allies, so it's being politicized (and Sinclair is legitimately awful- I will not attend a ROH show due to them as long as Trump is president)
Beech27
Sinclair's been in the news for being the news, so to speak. Buying up lots and lots of local media, and then, as documented here, passing down right-wing talking points from on high and generally slanting coverage. I don't know ROH's fan demographic data, but my own incredibly anecdotal experience would suggest a lot of people A) Don't like Sinclair for these or similar reasons; B) So all assumptions made about them, with regards to ROH, are negative. FWIW, I did find the non-answer a bit odd. It's the easiest PR-speak tap in ever, and he just refused to kick it in the net. That's not to say he's beholden to some Sinclair dictate; but given what we know about how they operate, I don't think it's insanely conspiratorial to think he, at the very least, considered their politics when speaking. Jenalysis
Cornette's been pretty critical of Sinclair as well, some of that is reigning in expenses (Sinclair's also notorious for penny pinching), and I wonder how much is political with Corny as well (I'd guess Cornette and ZSJ are pro-wrestling's most famous liberals/socialists)

It's something that's been weighing heavily on my mind lately. I've been a fan of ROH from the start and still love what they're doing. But there is that guilt sometimes when I watch the show. I remember going to Supercard and having a good ol' time and I certainly don't regret seeing Cody/Omega live. But when I got home there was definitely that odd feeling that I put money in Sinclair's pockets. If they're still on the Fite app I'd be better off watching the shows through that. But as it is I don't think it's worth going to the Baltimore show in a couple months.
Jiji
If you were to boycott any promoter whose politics didn't align with yours, I do not think you'd be watching much wrestling. Sure it's more blatant with Sinclair but do you feel the same guilt going to Wrestlemania and giving Vince money for the network? His wife works in the administration for crying out loud and Vince is backwards as fuck politically. Japan is incredibly conservative politically too. Zero 1 does shows around the Yasukuni Shrine festival.
Hagan
One thing about Sinclair - they've been a pro-Republican/conservative outlet for years and will continue to be one post-Trump. It's a little diminutive to call them pro-Trump. I know that distinction doesn't matter to some but I think it's important when evaluating media bias. All news has some implicit bias you should evaluate. I don't necessarily mind an outlet being outwardly progressive or conservative as long as their is some transparency and consistency. Incidentally, when they bought ROH they made their TV networks promote it on the newscasts and drop in PPV plugs during sports highlights, which I know pissed some of the news people in my market. Their occasional straying over lines isn't just restricted to politics. They've owned ROH a long time and haven't brought their politics into that side of it but I understand that our current political climate is tricky so I'd understand people if they wanted to hand-wave ROH during this time but, as noted above, playing the "does this conglomerate share the same ideological values" as me can really set you down a tricky path. Anyway, who do we think dethrones Dalton Castle? Seems they need to get the belt back on Cody.
