The "I Can't Believe It's 2018 and I'm Starting Another TNA Thread" Thread

I get the impression that PAC is doing what PAC wants to do as far as non-Japan booking goes. He was on RevPro and they have strong relationship with NJPW so I feel like if he wanted he could work with Impact.

As for Cage and Morrison, no disrespect intended , but who cares really? I really doubt that they'd sell significant amount of tickets or subscriptions and NJPW has already lots of people that they can work with. And since they are top guys in Impact then obviously Impact would want them protected, which means that NJPW would have to put them over some of their own guys. And you know, that sounds like a headache. I get that they do that with Jericho or even Cody, but Cage and Morrison just aren't on that level.

As reported by PWInsiderIMPACT Wrestling will be returning to the country of Mexico for TV tapings in Mexico City on January 11th and January 12th. The tapings will take place at Gran Casino Fronton Mexico with many talents already being announced such as Johnny Impact, Tessa Blanchard, Brian Cage, LAX and more. IMPACT’s relationships internationally have always been important, as they appear to be bringing Mexico up to the same level as their UK partnership from a few years ago.

Cage and Morrison would get over in NJPW, though I don't think Morrison would want to do a Japanese tour.  Cage in Suzuki-Gun as a monster would be great.

I want to see Morrison/Naito now.  Overall I'd say Morrison is on the same level as Cody in terms of name recognition- he's done just as much if not more non-wrestling stuff, and had a better WWE career than Cody did.

How many more white guys does New Japan need?  Who do they think they are, Lucha Underground?

The situation with EVOLVE could've been avoided if Gabe didn't try and get cute and have WWE guys beat IMPACT's tag champs.  If the goal in booking LAX was to draw locally then the match to do would've been LAX vs. Dickinson/Jaka.  Team Pazuzu explodes in New York.

Speaking of New York and that Eli Drake BFG open challenge to anyone from New York, you know who's also not from New York?  Joey Janela from New Jersey.

What happened to Kongo Kong? They spent all that time having him pursue Abyss, he eventually faces and beats Abyss to become the new monster, then he feuds with Johnny Impact... gets dived on in a pool and disappears for months. I know they like to rotate people in and out, like how Grado and Joe Hendry aren't booked now, but it seems odd that he's been gone so long after such a push.

Kong was thought to have drowned while everyone at the pool was busy drinking and screwing. He'll come back for revenge when he discovers Jimmy Jacobs decapitated head.

I've also found that weird, especially with not even an actual match with Johnny to blow off that feud. I thought he and Jacobs were solid together, and even moreso now Kongo/Johnny would make a real fun TV main event title match with Johnny's 'fighting champion' character.

I would have liked to see Kong go after Killer Kross after it was revealed Kross took out Jacobs backstage. I loved the pairing of Kong and Jacobs, with Jacobs being the Kim Chee to Kong's Kamala. If Jacobs and Kong do return to tv as a pair, I'd add the pith helmet to Jacobs ensemble, as a nod to Kim Chee and Kamala. If anybody could pull off a pith helmet with a dress, guyliner, and nail polish; it's Jimmy Jacobs.

Sami over Johnny Impact for WOTY?  Um, sure, I guess.  The other picks are fine.

Cross posting from the Evolve thread but before that show they had the Shine PPV.  While I was still getting situated at the club I did make sure to pay attention to Kiera Hogan and Su/Alison Kay.  It was my first time seeing Kiera working heel and she did a pretty good job at it.  It helps that she was against Aerial Monroe who is so easy to root for.  The main had Su Yung against Alison Kay which answered the question of how Sienna would have fared against a current roster member.  It was a really good match and seeing Su live is one helluva experience.  It also helped that my wife is a big fan of Su and Kiera so she had a great time.  After the show we met Keira and she was an absolute sweetheart.  She's uncertain about Impact's future with Pop but loves working there.  I hope they'll be at the next Shine show as all goes well we'll be seeing them again.
