Did...did WWE just shoot themselves in the foot to sell these new titles by saying the real titles don't have real diamonds in them?

I guess if you have the expendable cash to spend two grand on a belt, go for it? The value of something is whatever people are willing to pay for it. It's like how the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade cabinet is a silly purchase for some people, but if I had the cash laying around to do it, I wouldn't think twice.

I suppose the target audience are the people who have a bunch of these belts.

As opposed to putting big shards of glass on the same belt that's used as a prop to hit guys over the head with? It's kind of a wash there.

Did they ever use the old NWA belt with the real jewels in it to wack people with belt shots? That would explain some of the missing gems.
