Is it worth it to get the Fighterz or Ultimate editions? I'm thinking about getting this today or tomorrow, but I'm kinda hesitant to drop 90+ bucks on this...

Edit: Also is it possible to unlock everything by just gameplay?

I didn't buy any of that extra shit since I have Amazon prime and could get the day one edition for $46 when it came out.  I'll buy the dlc pass if I like who it adds and if I'm still playing when they announce stuff.

SSGSS Goku and Vegeta and Android 21 are all unlockable via gameplay.

The hunt is over. Nightmare Slain.

Somehow I actually managed to beat all of the mandatory bosses and several optional bosses in Bloodborne without levelling up! Once the Shadows of Yharnam fell it got a lot easier. I've never really had a problem with Rom, Micolash or the Wet Nurse and i played The One Reborn incredibly cautiously and got it second try. While I didn't kill every boss, I killed all 8 required to beat the main game, 3 optional bosses and 5 chalice dungeon bosses. I purposely didn't progress the game to NG+ so I can always go back and fight the optional bosses if i am ever feeling crazy enough to do so.

Never really thought i would get that far on this run so i'm pretty happy with my self.

I actually platinumed this back when i first played it a couple of years ago. It was my first platinum and worth every minute i put into it!

This run was just to see how far i could get sticking at BL4 and not levelling up. Never expected to be able to beat the game like that. Probably the hardest thing I've done in a video game.

This UFC 3 talk is super depressing.  I read previews talking about how career had been streamlined and you wouldn't have to do 3 shitty training minigames between every Career fight and I was pretty interested.  Now I think I'll just keep playing EAUFC2 and occasionally Undisputed 3 (which has still gotten more playtime from me than any other MMA game).

Blitzed through the AC:Origins Hidden Ones DLC. If you love the main game, this is a few more hours of it. I guess the next DLC pack will be a larger expansion. Comes out in March. I have no doubt that whatever game I’m working on will be shoved to the side immediately when it hits.

Will I finally start Nier:Automata now? Only time will tell...

i bought an Xbox 360 specifically to play Undisputed 3 a few years back. ended up selling it off, but sometimes i miss playing that game.

This has been a week of beating games; The Witness, Octodad, platinum on the Parappa remaster, Last Guardian, with the end of Persona 3: FES finally in my sights. Idea for a game - Persona, but it's in the American bible belt. "Thou shalt have our blessing when thou choosest to create a Persona of the Tex-Arcana..."

Just started NieR, about halfway done with the little-known Gamecube version of Majora's Mask, and maybe a third of the way through the first Trauma Center on DS.

PIcked up some used OG Xbox stuff - both Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliences for post-dinner co-op with the SO, the slept-on Crazy Taxi 3, and the disc to Shenmue II (I've had the case/manual/bonus DVD for ages, somehow).

AND I got my old PS2 back, so the random things I've picked up on sale at retro game stores in the DMV/Southeastern PA areas are finally up for consideration. Namely original prints of the first two Yakuza games.

Typing it all out reminds me of how daunting and dorky all this is, but it could be worse. I could be into Destiny.

I'm actually thinking about buying a proper, expensive gaming PC. But man is it like the shittiest time ever to do that or what, with this nonsense about GPU cryptomining, plus RAM prices seem jacked like hell too. I get a good kick out of people who actually believe the manufacturers will work to fix this as if they are not thilled beyond belief to be able to charge whatever they feel like.

Yeah, the block chain shit using GPU RAM has absolutly FUCKED Graphics card prices.  RAM's been trending high for a little while, but you don't need more than 12 GB for anything, it's all locked into GPU RAM and that's locked into block chain right now. So until that trend dies or someone comes up with a more cost efficient way to mine, we're fucked.

Seriously the GTX 1070 is running you $850-$$1K Canadian by itself if you decide to get into serious high end gaming, it's bizarre but it's actually cheaper to buy a pre-made system from one of those specialist shops than it is to build your own right now. I'm... not sure that's been true before, like, ever. I admit I am still tempted to do something crazy here because (1) I actually have a window of opportunity to do it that may not come again for years and (2) I like my laptop just fine but I will not be running a new AAA game on it ever again because they've just gotten too powerful. But man, that's a lot of fucking money to drop on a toy.

Even some of the bigger "Build your own" sites are saying that unless you're going entry level or Super high end, getting a pre-made that's got a big enough case and board to get the card you want when the prices come down is the way to go.

I was fucking dumb and dropped over $2k on a gaming rig in October of 2016. The GTX 1080 cost an arm and a leg and even then it still can struggle to get great frame rates at 4K. It's basically an Xbone + PC though, so that part is nice. I wish EA released the NHL series on PC, otherwise there would hardly be a need for a console outside of stupid Red Dead never being on PC. Why does Rockstar release GTA on PC but not Red Dead? Have they said it's definitely not going to be released for PC or is it unknown?

I don't know if Rockstar ever officially said no, but word was that the code for Red Dead was an incomprehensible mess that just happened to work awesome on consoles and that there was no way they'd get it to work on PC.

Not to mention the online for RDR on consoles was completely hacked. I actually earned some of the single player trophies (like 500 headshots) from a glitched multiplayer lobby where people were stuck on the ground.
