Dolfan in NYC
So, the other new rule is apparently the compromise on targeting. Any defensive hit that is initiated with the crown of the helmet is 15 yards. Although Scott Van Pelt is saying it on SC as "ANY hit initiated with the helmet", which seems a bit more problematic and so prevalent as to be unenforceable without slowing down the game to a crazy degree. But then again, you know, paralysis... So next year's 60-56 game results are going to be fun.

Next up needs to be a ban on runners using the crown of their helmet as a weapon.
Death From Above
The amount of complaining from pro players that are going to have to learn how to actually tackle really emphasises how much work there still is to do at youth football levels as far as proper skill training goes.
RIPPA
Quote Su'a Cravens, the Washington safety who was drafted in the second round in 2016 and didn’t play at all in 2017, has been traded to Denver. The deal features Denver giving up the 109th overall pick, the 142nd overall pick, the 163rd overall pick and a conditional 2020 sixth-round pick in exchange for Cravens, the 113th overall pick and the 149th overall pick, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Add all those picks up and it’s roughly the equivalent of Cravens being traded for a late fourth-round pick. But, basically, Washington is getting a fifth-round pick and change for Cravens Why Denver wants a guy who has quit on two different teams is beyond me but there ya go

I prefer to think of him as Brandon Weeden, much shittier ginger QB than the likes of Jason Garrett (6-3 as a starter compared to the aforementioned 6-19 dweeb) and Billy Joe Hobert. Having said that, 2 x 1st and 2 x 2nd picks means we could see some blockbuster moves, or the stockpiling of 14 day 3 picks.

Contentious C
It's funny in a "wow, that's the most pathetic thing I've seen all month" sort of way that the section of that quote firmly connected to reality stops with "Went to the doctor".
