And also people refused to see Daniel as a joke to not compete on a top level. If Vince had his way, Bryan would had stayed in that midcard hell. Bryan was a weird case though because his ROH title run was spectacular and he carried himself like a Goddamn champ. Dude wasn't a guy who'd be unable to get over.
