PUNQ
Well, I agree to some degree with Elgin's criticism of him not showing enough fire. That was exactly my impression after the 8th day of the World Tag League. To quote myself " I’m liking the Elgin & Cobb team, but they lack ruthless aggression.", Cobb on his first tour of New Japan is coming across too much like he's playing a heavyweight strong man than actually being one. It might work on the indys, but won't cut it in the big leagues. Unless he faces the Best Friends though, who are specialists at play-wrestling, which resulted in the rather awesome November 30th match-up. Technico Support
Holy shit that IM conversation. "How's Cobb?" "He sucks" "Well wait, maybe he has some good ideas and you should listen to him" "HE SUCKS. FUIUD"

Matt D
That's why if I was participating in that GWWE poll at the Place to Be Nation, I would have had Casas as my #2 (Bockwinkel could still be #1 based on the Angelo Poffo-snubbing legends battle royal from the 80s.) This is even more surreal by the way because you don't just have Casas but Hijo Del Santo too. I'm fairly certain this was before they were regularly teaming too. I'd never seen anything of Cobb's prior to Matanza and dug him in the role. Ironically enough when I first saw him wrestling as himself in PWG a short time later he just came off as a slightly more agile version of Elgin. The two of them are pretty interchangeable to me but Cobb has a bit more versatility.

When I first saw him in PWG (probably a year or so ago), all he did was big moves in between segments where he was obviously blown up. Just suck wind, suplex, repeat. He's gotten so much better since then.
Tromatagon
Cobb had some really cool dark matches in the temple before he became Matanza, but I didn't think THIS MOTHERFUCKER HAS SOMETHING until he started working heel before Matanza's debut, which is when he almost got this Steiner Bros fuck you you're getting suplexed and I might have just made that one up vibe. That character, and Matanza, play to his strengths more - he does cool shit and just fucking steamrolls his opponent. If you get your shit in on him it doesn't work. As himself, he gives/sells a lot but I think he's great in both roles.

L_W_P
Watching SDL on replay and Im loving the Bludgeon Brothers squash. Then it occurs to me: Bray Wyatt is now the least over, most expendable/useless member of the former Wyatt family. He has gone from the hottest talker on the roster, the next Undertaker and leader of a group clearly greater than the sum of its parts, and become a lower card gimmick act on par with Papa Shango. The Shield reunion felt like a big deal. A Wyatts reunion would feel like a step back for 3/4 members!!

Casey
I don't think this has been mentioned, but the Observer (and Sheamus on his YouTube channel) have said that he's rehabbing spinal stenosis. Which is the same thing that eventually caught up to Edge and Stone Cold.
Ryan
Did he specifically say his neck? Otherwise it can be other parts of the spine. It's a narrowing of the spinal canal. Neck and lower back are most common.
