If you can set up transportation I'm down for that.

I used to live in Lynchburg, where Liberty is located and had to deal with their evangelical nonsense in small town America.  I would love to see them get wrecked.

Arizona fires Rich Rodriquez

He has been accused on sexual harassment by a university employee. The University has investigated enough to be “concerned”

The university investigation cleared Rodriguez, for what it's worth.

FWIW, The Prince George Journal officially recognized UCF as national champions. Why a Virginia based newspaper did is beyond me, but it gives them a tiny shred of legitimacy to hang it on.

Still better than a 20th ranked Arkansas claiming one.

Because it gives the newspaper attention

Matt Rhule has withdrawn from the Colts HC search and will be staying at Baylor

That doesn't seem like a good idea because if I'm him I do anything to get out of that toxic waste dump of a school.

Washington State quarterback Tyler Hilinski has died, he apparently committed suicide.   He was found in his dorm room after he no-showed practice.

He was 21 years old.

If you or someone you know is having suicidal thoughts, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255.

Rumors are that Hugh Freeze is looking to sign on for Extreme Disgraced Coach Makeover Season 2 at Alabama.

Looks like its not happening, they're reportedly promoting from within and having Mike Locklesy take the job. N

Now the question is who will be the new DC

Rumours going around that now Michigan State's football and basketball programs have had major problems regarding players and sexual misconduct and cover ups.

MSU's interim president may be a Poly Sci TA by mid next week.

I'm kinda surprised with the current emphasis on this that nobody seems to be making a big deal about most (all?) major football schools essentially employing amateur escort agencies as part of their recruiting.  Shit's been going on at least since since the 80's when a few of my friends went through the whole recruiting process.

So, to recap today: After about a year of slowly finding out Michigan State had a child and student sex abuse scandal that dwarves even the horribleness of Penn State, we learned that they also have a Baylor level "covering up and ignoring rape by athletes" scandal happening at the same fucking time.

The University of Chicago was right to drop out of the Big Ten athletics affiliation for academic reasons way back in the 1930s. Geez, college sports are way more sleazy than the pros because of shit like this.

So what kind of bullshit penalty is the NCAA going to impose on Michigan State given Ped State got off relatively unscathed.

Well since Mark Emmert was told about 37 unpunished rapes at MSU shortly after taking office in 2010, I'm guessing not much.

Not that it matters, Penn State got almost all of their punishments removed by basis of the fact that schools haven't given the NCAA jurisdiction over this kind of shit.
