(The other one is Night of the Living Dead, because I haven't owned an actual copy besides my 30+ year old Goodtimes VHS, for ages. And it's my favorite movie. Go figure.) The NotLD 4K is gorgeous (George) and a must have. 1
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 That and the James Bond laserdiscs were some of my favorite parts of my personal CC collection when I was in college. I'm pretty sure I still have the LDs but haven't been able to find a player locally. 1

jaedmc Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 Nerdy "Did you know..." trivia, because my wife and I did research on these movies for a date night: The Three Musketeers (and Four Musketeers) changed the language of SAG contracts. Everyone in the movie thought they were making ONE movie. It wasn't until it came out that they learned it was going to be two separate films, but they were still getting paid just for the one. Producers tried to pull a fast one. So there was a lawsuit, and now there's a clause in SAG contracts explicitly stating how many movies are being made from the footage you're shooting. The more you know.
J.H. Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Weren't the producers on those 3 Musketeers movies the Salkinds? Kind of notorious skinfkints as I recall James

Spoiler Charlton Heston being at the bottom of the list amuses me greatly. You are all ignoring the fact that they're also putting out FUCKING WITHNAIL AND I. I greatly thank Tony Bourdain for playing that one night on TCM (along with Get Carter, the original).

odessasteps Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Is this the version of Musketeers that did not call Richilieu “Cardinal” so as to not potentially upset the Church?
Curt McGirt Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Funny you mention them as I was just reading about the Vatican Bank scandal, inspired by, you guessed it -- watching Godfather III (Coda version) on TV. It involves the Sicilian Mafia, a Freemason society (which included Silvio Berlusconi) who funded anti-Communist paramilitaries and governments, both the Sandinistas AND the Contras... a bunch of crazy shit.
Curt McGirt Posted February 22 Posted February 22 (edited) From Eureka Entertainment: Quote TERROR IN THE FOG: THE WALLACE KRIMI AT CCC, five crime thrillers produced by Artur Brauner adapted from the works of British crime writer Bryan Edgar Wallace and his father Edgar Wallace, are coming to Blu-ray as part of The Masters of Cinema Series from 26 May 2025 in the UK, and from 27 May 2025 in North America. The Limited edition boxed set of 2000 copies (per territory) will exclusively feature a hardbound slipcase and 60-page collector’s book. Edited February 22 by Curt McGirt 1
Brian Fowler Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Kino Lorber is releasing a six movie 4K Abbott & Costello Horror collection later this year. Now, on one hand, I own every movie in the set on Blu-ray in the Shout Factory A&C complete Universal box set, and three of them on another blu-ray and on DVD in the Universal Monster box sets. On the other hand... 4K

Yeah, I didn't realize it was such an old post. I wasn't paying attention. He's not there still. Went in 2018 got out in 2019. It looks like he's homeless right now. Charges involved Spoiler CP Spoiler
Brian Fowler Posted February 27 Posted February 27 I presume there's a very good chance that he is banned from internet access. But, yeah, he be gone. 1
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Yeah, crimes of that nature tend to carry a condition where they cannot have internet access. At the half way house it was obvious who had what charges because they were only allowed flip phones.
