'80s Trailers for Mattei! This is all the non-horror stuff I could find. If you haven't seen the Strike Commando trailer yet, you haven't lived.

Robowar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_JR7kUUdWk

Shocking Dark: Terminator II https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wds0vLq8i1E

Double Target https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiXb7idK2xo

Born to Fight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvvE833-5Mw

Strike Commando https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SU9PEfb1nks

Strike Commando 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmE689E-DM8

The Seven Magnificent Gladiators https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fOUowFE1ig

White Apache https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYJ58sdOhlE

Scalps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HR7Bs6JrSs

Cop Game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_5nm53y1ms

Hanna D. - The Girl from Vondel Park https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAdaXUP3dYg

Caligula and Messalina https://mubi.com/en/films/caligula-and-messalina/trailer

Women's Prison Massacre https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=667962407020249

There is so much gold in these. Double Target has some incredibly dangerous stunts and explosions that clearly nearly kill people. There's a helicopter explosion that is either a minature, the cleanest edit ever seen, or they somehow jerry-rigged an actual helicopter to fall out of the sky. White Apache has a white dude playing a Native yelling "White man die! Kill them, kill them all, kill them all! *runs up to camera* YES, DIE, WHITE PEOPLE!" 😆 Another immortal line is in Cop Game: "I'm gonna blow a hole in your fuckin' head, Barbie doll." While Robowar rips off Predator, Shocking Dark manages to rip off both Aliens AND The Terminator! And these things rip off actual scenes from the movies: Shocking Dark has the "Burke turns off the monitor" scene from Aliens and The Seven Magnificent Gladiators (with Hercules himself, Lou Ferrigno) has the sword-breaking from the final fight in Conan. (Golan-Globus funded that one, so an extra layer of '80s sleaze there.)

The only trailers that are NSFW are Scalps and, obviously, Caligula. And there are some nasty bits involving needles in Hanna D.

Because I spend my money wisely, I now own a copy of the Christian classic C Me Dance on DVD and I cannot stress enough how much this is a one-star movie/billion star experience.

It's also on YouTube in terrible 360p with burnt in subtitles and I cannot recommend it highly enough, nor highly enough recommend going into as completely blind as humanely possible, and just letting it wash over you as it keeps going nowhere you expect.

Surprised Red Letter Media hasn't had this one in a video.

Although, I realize they don't focus on the low hanging fruit of Christsploitation as I'd like for them to do.

I spent many nights during my Catholic education stoned watching Pax or WLMB movies.

The best Christploitation movie in my book is still Passion Of The Christ. It did everything that people thought every Grindhouse movie did, even if a lot of them kinda suck. My religion teacher didn't like me comparing it to Blood Feast when I was in high school.

Passion got a debate about "Good gore for kids" started at the comic shop when it was in theaters.

Got two "classics" coming in today.

The Crippled Masters is the best dvd I ever bought from the dollar bin at Kroger in high school. It became a double feature with Riki-Oh for my buddy Steve and I.

Be on the lookout for a Criterion coupon/credit if you’re a subscriber to the channel.

edit: The annual $10 credit. Mine did come after I posted earlier.

Anyone else had trouble with the VS website?  Trying to reset password doesn't seem to do a thing and they owe me a pre-order that at this point I'm tempted to just cancel instead.  But I can't even log on due to the reset issues.

Fuck yeah, Night Moves!

EDIT: Don't read the Great Movie review of that by Ebert, because he says he won't give away the whole plot, then goes on to do so 😄 Of course, the movie's end is so cryptic you won't be able to figure it all the way out anyway. Nobody ever has, I think.

Very down for Night Moves. Haven't watched it in well over a decade but I loved it.

Somehow Jury Duty with Pauly SHore and Tia Carrerre is OOP on DVD and Blu ray. Just dropped 25 bucks for a used Blu ray but it is missing the VHS look slipcase.

That definitely feels like a missed opportunity for Mill Creek.

Pam Anderson in the Criterion Closet. No, really.

She has the best taste of recent visitors to the Criterion Closet.

Spoiler

Ingmar Bergman in Cinema box set? Wanda? Abbas Kiarostami? Is she really One Of Us?

If she tapped into her cinephile fandom earlier on, her career would have looked a lot different.

That gets to me (the video). She spent all this time in the public eye, for all this bullshit; Playboy and a marriage to a rock star and a sex tape and a bullshit cheesecake TV show, when she is really fucking smart and would probably 100% have rather been working in art films and microbudget indies instead of caught in the vortex of '90s pop culture. And who knows if she would have had the opportunity to do that at all? It's like the era just sucked her up and put her on a pedestal before she could react. People from legit projects probably would have heard her name and just stuck their nose up in the air, too.

I guess I'm just glad she's finally getting a chance to do what she wants, in a film that looks pretty damn good. It's not like Jenny McCarthy is doing that -- she's just crazy now.

Pam has always been big on animal treatment. And maybe the environment too? i don't remember for sure.

also, the cartoon Striperella (she is the voice of the main character) doesn't get enough credit. It's great.
