Cliff Hanger
Family released a statement that he died of an accidental overdose of opioid painkillers (fentanyl and oxy). He had fractured his hip, refused to cancel the tour and was prescribed those painkillers not long before, but his injury got worse (as they will if you walk on a fractured hip) and so his usage kept climbing. What a fucking sad end.

What a fucking sad end. Isn't this basically what got Prince, too? Over medicating with fentanyl for a hip injury? Don't fuck with opioids, guys. Robert C
They had my father on that shit (fentanyl) after his brain surgery a few weeks ago. The IV bag was kept in a locked plastic case mounted to the IV stand. Amazing that they felt the need for that kind of security in an ICU.
OSJ
As someone who has to take oxy every day of my life, I can only say "use as directed", that shit's no joke. I'm amazed at all the fentamyl deaths (not that people die from it, but rather as in "where are these people getting it?") I've never had it, but have been told that in most places it's hospital-use only because it's so potentially deadly. Basically, a slight overdose is enough to shut your heart down, you're dead before you're aware that you took too much.
