Phil Schneider
Violent southern brawl v. Classic Southern Tag MX match might be a new discovery
Curt McGirt
I'm gonna say 'no' without watching just because you didn't use my upload of the FMW match EDIT: The WCW tag starts at 56 minutes in
Phil Schneider
We got waylaid a bit with writing up the Mae Young classic, but we are putting up this challenge tomorrow, so everyone go watch the two matches and get your lobbying in!! Phil Schneider
We both loved the Steiners v. MX hidden gem, but the FMW match retains http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2017/09/all-time-moty-list-head-to-head-1990.html
NintendoLogic
When was the last time you two watched MX/R&R at Wrestlewar? Because MX/Steiners is almost a complete carbon copy of that match. There were more spots than I could count that were simply lifted from it wholesale. EricR
Honestly I had no idea, but I've officially gotten to the point where I watch/have watched so much wrestling that I've forgotten a lot of what I've watched. Part of this project has been going back and reevaluating things I haven't seen in 15-20 years. It's probably been 15-18 years since I've seen WrestleWar, so I didn't pick up on any of the similarities. I'll go back and watch soon. Taking them each in a vacuum (MX/RR and MX/Steiners), which do you prefer?
NintendoLogic
Even in a vacuum, I'd give the nod to MX/RR. Scott's a fine FIP, but it's hardly an insult to say that he's no Ricky Morton.
