Craig H
Oh, FYI regarding the PWI 500, Jim Ross had on the PWI editor to talk about the rankings. That guy's explanation and reasoning is beyond shaky, saying things like Omega being #2 in the world is way too high, NXT is the #2 promotion in the world, and although he cites the period taken into consideration, he was definitely factoring in stuff from outside of that period. I'm surprised PWI is still in publication.
Spritenaut 32
Now I want wacky skits where Samoa Joe works in WWE's complaint department and goes to your house and chokes you out if you send a shirt back because they shipped the wrong size. Samoa Joe: Surly Human Resources Manager would work too. 6
Tromatagon
You guys gotta realize PWI is staffed by people dumb enough to work for PWI in 2017 5
Victator
PWI is the only entity in wrestling to definitively defeat Vince McMahon. So I think they do pretty good.

RIPPA
Since the August thread is going to close soon - I am moving all the PWI 500 stuff out since folks like talking about it Rest of the posts coming over now
Marty Sugar
I sent my stuff in for the first time in years; not that I care either way if I'm in, but in the 52 week time period I wrestled 50 matches (which is a pretty big number for a small-time indie guy), and figured that at 42 and doing that (along with winning titles and tournaments, etc.), it might be enough of a gimmick to get ranked one time. Not that I plan on buying one just to see if I make it...I'll wait until it's at Chapters and peruse it while grabbing a latte at Starbucks. Web Conn
The most glaring omission in all of this is that Alex "Workdwide" Keller didn't make the 500 spot.
Death From Above
Watching casual fans on twitter say that Roman doesn't belong in the top 500 tells you all you need to know about the WWE's writing team. Wilful incompetence.

I don't know- "The Progressive Liberal" Daniel Richards just seems like the most platonic ideal "Number 500" guy you can get in 2017.
Web Conn
That's the guy that wears the shirt with Hilary's face plastered all over it right? is he any good? I mean Worldwide isn't setting the world (ha) on fire but he's a character and entertaining as hell.

Even Sunny does the act better. Doesn't change he's about the most "Number 500" wrestler to hit number 500 in a while.
Greggulator
The Progressive Liberal is a pretty funny character. His line readings are a little flat, but he knows what is going to piss his audience off. It's a lot like heel straightedge CM Punk or the original version of Sandow in that he's dripping with condescension. I saw some of him in-ring on YouTube and he's exactly what you'd expect to see from a part-time weekend wrestler in a rural indie league. I also don't think he's been wrestling for all that long, either. "Semi-pro wrestler with a really clever character" is perfect for 500.
RIPPA
Plus the Progressive Liberal has gotten some national media (depending on your opinion of all those words) I have never head of Alex Keller and, technically still don't, outside of Web Conn bringing him up
Web Conn
He wrestles for AIW out of Cleveland. He's a hoot on The Card is Going to Chsnge. He had an online campaign on Twitter to get the 500 spot. He's one half of the Tag Team Weird World (his name is Worldwide, his partners name is Weird Body. Hence Weird World). I know him more as a podcast personality than a wrestler but from what I've seen he isn't terrible.
