RIPPA Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Hogan, Funk, Gorilla, Jimmy Hart (1 Win) vs DON'T TOUCH TERRY GORDY'S VAN! 1
Technico Support Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Holding off on voting until we can verify the legitimacy of the Gordy gif...didn't someone (maybe here) say that the guy was a plant?
RIPPA Posted July 24, 2017 Author Posted July 24, 2017 the post I saw here was cross posted from reddit??? where a guy claimed he was there and the guy was just a random drunk But it is wrestling - so the possibility of it being a plant is always there too
Curt McGirt Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Didn't even notice that Jimmy was the person holding back Terry. Why Terry needed a mouthpiece is totally beyond me.
NikoBaltimore Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 As cool as the Gordy one was I'm going with Funk. Terry rules and I would love to see that spot brought back.

It's crazy to think about how many tried and true staples of wrestling Vince used to be staunchly behind, only to abandon because they were suddenly "too rasslin."

I think it was more because that was Sr's way of doing things and he didn't want to upset the apple cart too badly. Really, that MO went back to the 60s-70s... witness Buddy Rogers, one of the great promos of that era, with Bobby Davis as his manager. 1
Rev Ray Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 if you really think about it, there really weren't too many 80's WWF non-jobber heels without a manager, valet or bodyguard. You had Jake Roberts who had a snake in a bag and Bad News Brown.
MADCAP Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 I saw the full match on YouTube, and I can't find it for the life of me, but I think another guy jumped in the ring after the match and half-heartedly went after Gordy.
JonnyLaw Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 I'm pretending the guy getting shoved is Russo. It still isn't enough for me to vote for it, but it does make me a little happy.
BurningBeard Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 I've long been a mark for that Gordy gif. It's just how little effort seems to go into the shove and how far the guy goes flying
