Spectre was one of the most disappointing movies of the last ten years.  It's not horrible but it's pretty bad and I was hyped for it. I'm surprised Craig is back for another one.

Combination of $$$ and not wanting to bow out on a Spectre note.

His whole deal of not wanting to do another was because he was injured during the filming, rushed back from surgery and resumed filming before it was healed, had problems keeping his pain medication up because they were shooting in different countries, then had to do a press tour where he was obliged to speak super positively about how brilliant it all was and how much fun everyone had been having.

Although I think even at the start of being cast in the role, it was as much about a financial/ career move as it was about really wanting to be this iconic character.

Apparently the title of the movie is going to be Shatterhand. Sounds a bit like German dogshit.

Shatterhand was a fantastic NES game, but I suspect this is unrelated.

There's still time for them to bring back Maud Adams to reveal that actually she was running a secret organization that was in charge of Blofeld and SPECTRE who were in charge of QUANTUM who were in charge of Le Chiffre.

Then they could call the next movie

That was only partially a joke. When they did the Bond Fantasy draft on James Bonding I played along in my mind and tried to craft a cast that had Bond getting his ass kicked by hot ladies all day long and only drafting women for as long as possible.

It was (In order that I imagined it round by round):

Primary Bond woman: Maud Adams (Pussy Galore)

M: Judy Dench

Henchman: Grace Jones (Mayday)

Flex (Extra henchmen): Bambi and Thumper

Seconday Bond Woman: Rosamund Pike (Miranda Frost)

Moneypenny: Naomie Harris

Villain: Lotte Lenya (Rosa Klebb)

Ally: Penelope Smallbone

Song: Live and Let Die

Car: Lotus Esprit

Gadget: Wrist Gun darts

Bond: Timothy Dalton

SUMMARY: After Miranda Frost turns on James Bond leaving him for dead, M informs him that female agents around the word are turning on their handlers and committing murders. She directs Eve Moneypenny into the field to infiltrate. Bond insists on assisting her. Following a trail of a deadly assassins including a striking woman named Mayday and two maniacs named Bambi and Thumper leads Bond to an old flame. Is she really the true evil? Will Moneypenny turn on Bond? Will Bond be able to protect her? Find out this Summer in

I gotta say Casino Royale is still probably my favorite Bond movie to date.

It's that or From Russia With Love.

Mark's strange love of that fucking terrible parody will never not baffle me.

Didn’t I pick it once for the movie club where I tried to articulate my love for it?

it being a glorious mess is one reason I love it.

Yes. That's when I tried to watch it. I tapped in under half an hour. Just so awful.

I’m not really crazy about a Dr. No remake unless it meets two conditions: Craig sings the mango tree song and it opens with Adele covering Three Blind Mice.

With Cary Fukunaga as the principle director, I think that would happen if this turns out to be a reboot of Dr. No.
