Casey
Liberty Belle is too. I believe she's Lacey Evans in WWE or whatever.
RIPPA
Geena Davis has been added to the cast Quote The Oscar-winning actress will play Sandy Devereaux St. Clair, the former showgirl turned entertainment director of the Fan-Tan Hotel and Casino. It seems that Davis’ character will have an impact on things, as she will be appearing in all 10 episodes of the third season.

Johnny Sorrow
Wow. Season three opens hard. I laughed my ass off. That opening scene was amazing.
Eivion
Two episodes in and I'm digging the new season so far. Was interesting to see episode 2 focus mainly on the relationships.
AxB
Apparently this season is more about storylines and relationships and less about wrestling.
Johnny Sorrow
I just finished this season, and it's fucking outstanding. It often did the amazing task of making me cry with joy, and then crying with sadness or empathy.. with no stopping of the tears . And I think it's the funniest season so far. There were so many spots where a laugh track would have been there after certain dialogue. I've been rewatching Cheers so I'm back to expecting laughter after amazingly well written jokes. elizium
I guess I'll be the dissenting voice and say that I didn't really like this season. Spoilered for extreme length and for anyone who hasn't watched all season yet. Spoiler Starting the season off with the Challenger disaster seemed cheap and exploitative to me. There's a hundred things they could have done in order to add drama to the first episode, rather than using an actual tragedy in your comedy wrestling show. Did you like Marc Maron? Too bad, we're writing him out for half the year and the other half he'll be involved in some auxiliary plot away from everything else. It's nice to see Geena Davis and all, but every scene focused on her or Bobby Barnes just ground everything to a halt. Hey Geena, maybe your hotel wouldn't be failing if you didn't give up entire floors of it as housing for the employees? Ruth, supposedly your main character, had nothing to do all year. Other than the audition episode, you could have easily swapped her out for any other character and it would have made no difference at all. Issues were wrapped up in record time. Cherry owes the casino $5000 and has a week to pay back? She has one mud wrestling match and its never mentioned again. Ruth bails on Sheila and their scene? I'm not sure if it was even mentioned the next episode? Fortune Cookie wants a raise. Here Fortune Cookie, have this raise. Tamme's crippling back pain? One conversation explaining what a manager is and that's it I guess? Hey, we're going to try and buy a tv station! One phone call later. Yay, we bought a tv station! Looks like Bash is finally going to start confronting his homosexuality after the threesome with the gigolo only to be immediately moved back to square one with the talk of starting a family, so I guess we'll be doing it all over again next year. I can't believe I'm saying this, as I have a healthy love of smut and exploitation films, but the nudity was almost over the top this season. I guess they figured Vegas, we need to sex it up, but its never something the show has needed before. Yes, there has been some nudity previously, but for a show about empowerment, they sure made sure a lot of their cast got their tits out this year. What a waste of Toby Huss. There were things I liked. Sheila was fantastic this year. The wolf lady stuff was fun, but there is only so much you can do with it. They way they transitioned her out of it was so well done and the strongest aspect of the season. Awesome Kong might be the most natural actor on the show. The Christmas Carol stuff was great and the Scrooge/Death match is my favourite casket match ever. Bash's hair was magnificent. Pretty much everything Rhonda wore. It was to the detriment of Ruth and Sam, but they really started fleshing out a lot of the cast. Arthie was very affecting, the Biddies got to do a little more than just be comedy relief, Carmen was forgotten about last year, nice that she had more prominence this year. Pretty much all the cast got something. Except for Reggie. Poor, useless Reggie. I guess she's a good hiker, so she's got that going for her. Anyway, that's my long ass review. Definitely the weakest of the seasons.

Definitely the weakest of the seasons. Even though I finished episode 4 I didn't mind being spoiled so I read your review. That does seem fair and I agree with certain things that have happened so far. But did it appear they're heading towards season 4? If so then I could justify fleshing out the other characters more to build them better towards that.
Pete
Almost done with Season 2. The episode-within-an-episode actually got Cindy interested in seeing the original show, laugh track and all, so we're going to check out the documentary down the line. Spoiler Everyone is sleeping on Ruth/Zoya singing the anti-kidnapping song with the rest of the troupe. We were howling for that one. The soundtrack has been absolutely pitch-perfect. Loved Bronski Beat's "Smalltown Boy" playing during the gay bar scene.

I think they walked a pretty decent line between "we have plenty of places to go if we get renewed" and "Netflix loves cancelling things after three seasons, so we aren't going to leave any plot threads seriously dangling."
Robert S
I am 6 episodes in season 3 now and wow, as good as the first two seasons were, this season is way beyond that. My favorite episodes so far are the last two I watched Spoiler "Freaky Tuesday", where everyone is switching roles and "Outward Bound", the camp episode Johnny is right, there are several scenes, especially in "Outward Bound", that really bring tears to your eyes. I was not completely sold on Awesome Kong's performance in the first two seasons, but here she at least fully hangs with the other actors, if she is not surpassing them. Hamhock
Also, by doing the monologue in the acting class scene, Kong is a wrestler who is acting as a wrestler who is acting.
