Yeah do it if you've got it. Chiller kinda sorta usually blows in its programming but they hit a homer on this one.

Sometimes they get in some good programming.  Chiller was the first network to show The Babadook (lightly censored) after it left premium cable and We Are Still Here is still on occasional rotation.

Nope.  Concept is still a concept.

Cheers, mate.

I need to set up camp in this thread. I'm so far behind on my horror movie watching. J.T. is going to pull my fan card! :(

Oh snap... Urotsukidoji

No.

Just... no...

I don't think any anime will make my list, but since we've made allowances for psychological thrillers I think that Perfect Blue might be worth reevaluating.

The anime horror joint one shot that most freaked me out was easily Kakurenbo:  Hide & Seek, but it is only 25 minutes long so it won't meet the time length criteria we've set.

I'm gonna do it now. You done fucked up and made me do it. (or at least, maybe as a runner-up. Hey, I paid $35 for that VHS when I couldn't afford $35 for anything. And no I am not a tentacle porn creep, that movie is legit insane and artful... and perverted, yes)

In all seriousness that is one of the most fucked up movies ever and deserves to be on some kind of list. Call it the A Serbian Film List?

Kodama are not evil spirits, though.

We would all be obliged to slash our wrists in the shower or step in front of a speeding tour bus after compiling that list.

I can't even begin to think about what I would put on my Top 10 Most Screwed Up Movies I've Ever Watched List.

I'd have to piece it together via traumatic reflection because there's no way I'd revisit those movies ever again willingly or deliberately.

"Last Orgy of the Third Reich" = game, set, match.  Showed to me by the same buddy that introduced me to the Mentors. No, I don't mean he had me listen to one of their recordings, I mean he introduced me to the fucking Mentors... Sick bastard was my insurance agent.

The gal that booked the horror fest at the Art last night has been bugging the guy that runs their co-op to play Cannibal Holocaust for years, apparently. We all agreed it was probably not going to happen haha. At least Henry is getting an airing -- I think that's about as far as things are going to go.

My personal experience with Nazisploitation is limited to the Ilsa films and I am going no further. Same with the Mentors. A guy I used to tape trade with sent me a like five hour video of atrocious quality video of them, like a sixth generation dub, that was just as bad as their music and personalities

Oh, and the same dude sent me a dub of Olaf Ittenbach's The Burning Moon! That is one FUCKED UP movie. He also taped The Beyond for me though (first time I ever saw it), so all is forgiven.

Heard about The Burning Moon; I'm sure it's even been posted on YouTube a few times. My only exposure to Shittenbach was the awful Premutos: Lord of the Living Dead, which I blind bought based on its boast of over 100 kills, including a running onscreen meter. Seeing that one made me dubious of Shittenbach being able to make anything watchable. One of these days I'm sure I'll get drunk and bored enough with everything else to give The Burning Moon a go.

I'll be honest: as cheap as it is, the scene in Hell at the end is one juicy piece of surrealist splatter. And then it just wraps up in the most nihilistic fashion humanly possible, so I give it that too. It was pretty cool to get on a cheap VHS in the mail as a youngin, though it isn't, you know... good or anything.
