RIPPA
Per WON Quote NXT taped TV prior to TakeOver: Orlando at the Amway Center tonight: - Heavy Machinery defeated The Bollywood Boyz when Otis Dozovic was holding one of the Bollywoods in the same position Mark Henry would for a World's Strongest Slam, then Tucker Knight ran the ropes and splashed his partner in the back as Dozovic executed the slam. The move was hard to explain, but very cool to watch. - Peyton Royce defeated Aliyah with a bridging fisherman's suplex. - Oney Lorcan defeated El Vagabundo (Elias Samson) El Vagabundo came out. It was The Drifter with a lucha mask and his guitar after he lost a loser leaves NXT match to Kassius Ohno on TV. He sang a song and then Lorcan took the mic saying "I know you're The Drifter, you know you're The Drifter, these people know you're The Drifter" and then the fans started chanting "No! No! No!" and a huge "Vagabundo." Great stuff. After just a few minutes, Lorcan removed the mask and the crowd started booing. Soon after, Lorcan pinned him with a standing blockbuster. A woman security guard escorted Samson to the backstage area by grabbing him by the hair.
Go2Sleep
Remember when Bo Dallas did that exact same thing 3 years ago? I'm guessing the Drifter segment won't have anything nearly as funny as "he touched my bum" and "he's terrifying those women."
Eivion
You guessed correctly, especially with an even snarkier audience who chose to cheer the Drifter.
JonnyLaw
I miss the NXT crowd that shouted down the dudes who tried to chant "Leo Kruger" during Adam Rose's debut.
hammerva
It looks like the woman who escorted Sampson out of the building was the same one trying to stop Gronk from getting into the ring at Wrestlemania. So I am guessing that moment when it looked like security didn't actually know who Gronk is was just a clever part of the angle.
NikoBaltimore
Fun episode with Heavy Machinery continuing to be awesome, plus El Vagabundo. I was fine with the crowd acting like it wasn't Elias under the mask, but they lost me when they still cheered him and booed Oney after the unmasking. It was definitely not the reaction they were setting out to get and Elias still had to act like they were booing him Weird stuff.
turk128
Dig the Disco Road Warriors look for the Bollywood Boyz. The most simple tag team moves done by Heavy Machinery becomes devastating finishers. I can't believe Samson is such a huge luchador geek. Man, El Vagabundo is cult level obscure; I remember seeing his insane pepe-on-a-pole hardcore matches in AAA while channel surfing late at night. Nigel finally showing some personality on commentary and sounding like he's having fun (El Vagabundo does that for anyone really). He really should keep the attitude from here on it, it's way more entertaining than his serious one. EDIT: Now that they have their NXT merch up and running, they really should make an El Vagabundo t-shirt. I mean, it's not as if El Vagabundo himself can sue them, he's been missing for almost a decade and has no family (the only guy who knew him personally, El Generico, is dead). quackhell
Man the crowd was dead for most of this show and kinda hijacked the Vagabundo segment. Regardless Heavy Machinery continue to be awesome and the hoss battle that will go down when they collide with AoP should be epic. I think Aliyah has a ton of upside potential, but as a heel instead of a fired up babyface. I think it was her debut when she showed a lot of malicious tactics and heel swagger, but with Billie, Peyton and Cross they needed her as a squashable face instead. turk128
She can play the annoying lil runt snapping at your ankles well, basically the BFF saner version of Cross.
Rev Ray
Yeah, that El Vagabundo vs Lorcan match probably would have been better in front of the Full Sail crowd because the out of towners in for Takeover. I would have been fine if everyone sort of did the Chikara "We Don't Know You" bit like with the Mysterious Handsome Stranger, but the minute they whipped the mask off, that would have worked better if the crowd did boo him. But that was goofy fun. I do look forward to the eventual build to Heavy Machinery vs. the AoP. I think Billie's hair up look with less make up actually was a big improvement. turk128
By and large, the majority of the gals look so much better with less is more mentality with make-up.
