So this is a thing now

Per the new WON

Quote

Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that John Yurnet, better known as Mr. 450, was accused of choking his girlfriend on 4/1 in Orlando at a hotel that they were staying at over Mania week. The couple was together two nights earlier at WaleMania. According to the police report, Yurnet came into the room and told her to get out and started throwing her stuff in the hallway. She claimed she tried to take her stuff and get into the elevator, but he allegedly blocked her way, and she alleged he grabbed her by the throat and attempted to choke her. “(Victim’s name) stated Yurnet took her to the ground and continued to strangle her while she was begging him to stop.” The story said Yurnet allegedly got in the elevator with her while she told him to leave her alone and then ran into her car once she got in the lobby, she claimed he ripped the mirror off her driver’s side door as she tried to get away. The Orlando police department said they were investigating the matter and wanted to interview a hotel employee who may have witnessed the incident. Right now there is no warrant for Yurnet’s arrest due to insufficient evidence. Police said they have been unsuccessful in contacting Yurnet, but his lawyer said that Yurnet was involved in a verbal disagreement with the woman wrestler in question, but it never got physical, and he has multiple witnesses who can back up his claim. Other sources said that when she escaped from the choke she pounded on a door of a hotel room where other wrestlers were staying, including one WWE wrestler, but when they opened the door, they shut it on her not wanting to get involved, and she was furious, saying they could have calmed him down and made the situation dissolve instead of doing nothing. He reportedly told her that he just wants to get his dog from the place they live at and she can have whatever money they have and be over it.

I'm stuck in this text block but anyway, watch it end up being Layfield

In all seriousness though, a room full of wrestlers decided to not help an endangered woman, what a bunch of callous wimps.

If it happened. People use words like "alleged"  and "claimed" then essentially act like people are guilty anyway.

There are few things more thankless than getting involved in a domestic dispute. The most likely scenario is both parties turn on you. Just call the cops and make it their problem.

Like cops don't know this too.

A group of 300 lb. motherfuckers, supposedly tough, playing Kitty Genovese is still bullshit.

Well cops get paid for it.

And you don't know if it even happened. When you are involved in this shit enough, you'll learn soon enough. The first time you think "Oh God this is awful, I'll do anything to help you." By the sixth or seventh time "Are the children safe? They are? Well God be with you."

People with your attitude don't have to live in it. Watching as idiots do the same shit over and over, not caring who gets hurt. Because they value their toxic relationship more than they do anyone else, even their kids.

Seriously, just call the cops, they are paid to deal with this garbage.

Also Kitty Genovese was the victim and it was eventually proven the bystanders had no idea what was happening. They could not hear anything from their apartments.

So, they couldn't possibly separate the two while calling the cops and waiting for them to show up. Got it.

So you don't think their is any risk in that? Playing vigilante in a situation where you don't know all the facts? You're being a condescending ass about something you know nothing about. Just some white knighting horse shit.

Also isn't this guy seriously injured? How was he doing this?

It was a knee injury in Dec that he had surgery for.

I have a friend who is a cop, was off duty, do that.

He got shot by the wife as a thank you.

Stay the fuck out of domestic disputes, they're a time bomb.

Yeah. I was in a mood disorder programme. One of my fellow patients was a cop who had suffered a traumatic brain injury when the woman hit him with a brick/rock. And he was on duty at the time.

I'm not saying ignore it, and I'm not taking sides because this whole thing is full of "allegedly" and "claims". I'm just saying it's not clear-cut and it's not simple.

Re: the Mr 450 situation

Yeah, DV situations are not the best webs to be entangled in. But by reading what we all did, someone could've let her stay in their room, if she was banging on doors asking for help, until authorities arrived , IMO.

For those who couldn't wait for Otunga commentating on RAW will have to wait longer

SmackDown LIVE’s David Otunga moved to the Raw announce desk in the Superstar Shake-up Monday night — swapping places with Team Red’s Byron Saxton — but the former WWE Tag Team Champion’s debut alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves will be delayed for six weeks, as he has been cast in the lead role of an action film with the working title “Katrina,” WWE.com has confirmed.

“Katrina” is set in 2005 New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina and stars Otunga as edgy DEA agent James “World” Lawson.

Otunga’s latest film endeavor leaves a temporary vacancy on the Raw commentary team. Who will serve as his stand-in? Stay with WWE.com as more information on the immediate future of the Raw announce team becomes available.
