zev
Maryse and Alicia Fox worked OVW for a while. I know Emma's not on the active roster, but she worked some Shimmer shows and some Canadian company either during or after training at Lance Storm's school. Casey
6 out of the 8 women that are regularly active on NXT's roster have prior independent experience, too. Only Liv Morgan and Mandy Rose are "homegrown" talent, IE trained and built from the ground up at the Performance Center. About half of the women just signed by WWE to report to the PC or work the Florida NXT house show loop have indy experience, the other half are inexperienced.Indy: Aliyah Asuka Billie Kay Ember Moon Nikki Cross Peyton Royce Kimber Lee Macey Estrella Mary Kate Ruby Riot Sarah Bridges No Experience: Liv Morgan Mandy Rose Bianca Blair Daria Berenato Victoria Gonzalez Then you have people like Danielle Kamela, who made her in-ring debut (not with WWE) at the end of March 2016, and were signed almost immediately by WWE a week or two later seemingly. None of these companies are nor will ever be a threat to them financially. They pretty much said, its to give talent less options.
