DylanWaco 182 Posted March 9, 2017 I'm not sure Joe was a top 250 wrestler in the world last year, so this is an amusing result to me if it holds
Matt D 10,534 Posted March 9, 2017 I know Dylan didn't enjoy Joe live (and freely admit that he saw him much more than I did in that setting), but I really loved him in the Joe/Aries vs Tye/Nak match I saw. He was the perfect straight man for the match, portraying utter disgust for Aries when he was getting stooged by Tye, as if he was some sort of homeless leper and not his tag team partner, and then instituting just the right amount of infuriating stalling (itself a contradiction because of his size advantage and how he acted towards Aries) when it was his time to face Nakamura. Then, when they were on offense, he shifted gears and made full use of Aries, managing to treat him almost like a prop. The two of them had great chemistry. We have some of the matches from that loop on youtube (and I admit they don't do Nakamura any favors), but not that one from the "Baltimore" show. I thought he really brought a lot to the match though.
Spritenaut 32 4,589 Posted March 10, 2017 I'm voting Joe based on... um... jury nullification. Riddle probably had a better year, but Riddle doesn't really do a whole lot for me, and Joe brought it just enough that I can rationalize voting for him.
JRGoldman 2,093 Posted March 10, 2017 I think Joe is getting the benefit of the doubt for being above average after years of being actively poor, while Riddle in some ways is already being taken for granted 16 months or so in to his career.
Craig H 10,435 Posted March 10, 2017 Riddle is down by two votes. That's not exactly what I'd call "being taken for granted."
Oyaji 7,393 Posted March 10, 2017 For people who loves promos and character, Riddle is one of the most BIZAAAAAH and funniest guys out there: He studies zoology so he knows how to best attack an animal should his life depend on it. Does Samoa Joe know the best way to take out a bear?
tbarrie 581 Posted March 11, 2017 The kokina clutch, obviously.

Stevie Ray Von Erich 281 Posted March 11, 2017 Joe has one line in promos: "You see, it's simple." He says it multiple times every promo. Vote Riddle.
DylanWaco 182 Posted March 11, 2017 At this point I ALMOST want Joe to win this so I can make my list of 50 guys who appeared on CWF Mid-Atlantic tv in the last year who had clearly better 2016's than he did.
Ryan 4,961 Posted March 12, 2017 Insert a clip of me on one of the old shows and I wonder if I at least tie him!
zev 2,497 Posted March 12, 2017 How do you take out a bear? Convince Daniel Bryan to wrestle it.

Joe should hit the muscle buster, hook the leg, and get the 1-2-3.
