The Story Mode's superficial relationship with kayfabe is throwing me for a loop. I keep finding myself in situations where my inner booker is telling me "y'know, I'm a Young Lion. I really shouldn't go over Ishii" or "this is an opening tag match, whoever's in the main is gonna be pissed if I have a 100% rating".

I may have raised my Crit rating to high as I got ot the NEVER title challenge after winning the NJ Cup and hit a Thunder Fire Driver on Goto 6 minutes in, scoring the Crit/KO and the title and measly 60% match rating. This after getting a 92% match rating with Shibata in the NJ Cup Final. All my matches since then have me hitting the finisher early on an opponent and getting  KO. Won the NEVER 6 Man belts by stealing EVIL's big moe and ten my finisher and a disappointing 62% match rating... I need to pace myself better

Then again... my training match with Nakanishi to pass my test also got me a Crit by using Ukemi when all I had was a plain powerbomb to work with

@Tromatagon I was about to post on the board about the error in mission 5. The message you get after you fail clears it up though.

How exactly does the Ukemi work? The one mission said to use L1 when in a grapple, but that didn't do anything. I usually just end up letting my opponent beat up on me for a while if I think I'm doing too much.

You hold L1 in a grapple and it lets your opponent win the grapple.  This is important because if they try a bigger move you'd normally reverse, they'll hit you with it.

So like if they go for a piledriver early you won't backdrop out of it.

Holding L1 while in a grapple allows your opponent to execute whatever they're going for and you won't attempt to counter they're jumping too high on the power.

EDIT: Dammit, Troma sniped me by 10 seconds!

Had a fun glitch in a death match mission. Someone tried to do a run in, but since they couldn’t get past the explosives they circled round the ring and then backed away into nothingness. The ring got smaller and smaller as the screen tried to accommodate the increasing distance between me and the errant run-in.

Press triangle on the color and select copy/paste.  You can also copy entire appearances into the other three slots this way.

Same with entire body parts, like you can copy the head and then go and paste it on the other 3 costumes with exactly the same layers and colors.

The advice floating around the net is to critical him, but if it’s possible it’s also random and hasn’t happened.

Not sure I actually have to land the dive, so if I bitch it again I’ll try to escape and see what happens.

Okite Yaburi.  It means like super fucked up rule breaking breach of conduct.  In the game sense, it means stealing your opponent's signature move.

You can do it once per match.  It's triggered by L1 Square and Triangle as a front strong grapple.  The computer used to pretty much never do it and seems to do it a lot on the PS4 version, which I'm cool with.

It's not exactly a finisher steal.  You usually are stealing someone's finisher but if their shit isn't a front strong grapple you'll steal a different move.  I think it defaults to whatever their square and x move is.

EDIT actually Jason Blackhart says it works like this:

Okite yaburi / move steal only uses Strong Front Grapples. Priority: Signature>Favorite>Down>L/R>Up>Neutral>X+A (I think...)

I doubt there is, but is there a way to swap which costumes go in which spot? So if I download a guy and I would rather his second costume be in his first slow can I just change that or do I have to clone him entirely as a new edit?

Here's some more really good edit makers I've found:

https://firepro-w.com/user/profile/Dylan21797 (only 4 edits so far, but he's converting a lot over from PC. He posts at Critical Club)

https://firepro-w.com/user/profile/RonnieH21 (this dude has made just about every female currently active in WWE as well as a lot of the ones who came back for the Royal Rumble)

https://firepro-w.com/item/detail/9735 (adding a lot of the guys that were in FPR, and using their movesets and logic from FPR as well)

https://firepro-w.com/user/profile/Salsaking2 (several old school Puerto Rico edits)

https://firepro-w.com/user/profile/gorilladaddy08 (80s guys. Not all have movesets or logic but appearances are terrific)

https://firepro-w.com/user/profile/CBlkHawk13 (Lord Worm. This dude is the Fire Pro CAW king)

Clearly we need a third season to figure out everybody's moveset but some people are impatient I guess.

There's at least a few of them up already.
