Kropotkin's Beard
I'm not at Citadel yetI'm in the midst of Omega - I just joined up with NyreenLeviathan... Wasn't very good Leviathan wasn't great gameplay wise, but I think it makes the whole ending make way more sense. Which was a lot of peoples problem with that game originally. I really need to get ME3 reinstalled so I can play through the Citadel DLC, which just sounds like a whole heap of fun. Just getting to hang out with all those old faces again. RIPPA
I just finished the combat/story/whatever you want to call it part of Citadel (now I have to do the party and chatting and arcade and etc...) Couple of things - Was a little disappointed that my wife and I called the heel turn 15 seconds into the thing. - I think it was more enjoyable for my wife than me because I am battling my ass off so I can only kinda sorta pay attention to the banter (especially when shit was blowing up left and right) while she is slapping her knee over everything. I think I am going to have to watch a couple of youtube videos or maybe replay the archives part
RIPPA
Oh and it was quite the happy accident but I took EDI with me to the Normandy. That was amusing

RIPPA
I was fiddling with my Hard Drive to make sure I had plenty of space for the Borderlands DLC and I realized that I am using 35 gigs of my hard drive and 16+ gigs is dedicated to the various Mass Effect games... and that will grow now that I am about to do my FemShep playthrough. I seriously should just buy a 2nd drive just for this series
J.T.
Yeah, I was not a big fan of Leviathan. I also called the heel turn in Citadel, but the cameos made it number one and the best. Hopefully if there is an ME4, it will have a small to mid-level scaled storyline. I think I'd rather be taking out threats on the level of CAT6 or some Red Sand dealers rather than saving the galaxy all of the time.
Ellsworth Toohey
*SPOILERS AHOY* The problem with Mass Effect 4 is that they shot themselves in the foot with the various endings, if they try to continue off of one or the other it will piss off the fans. They've been teasing that part 4 would be a prequel, but that's just pissed off fans who are all "I don't want to interact with characters that I know will die when the Reapers seize control of the Citadel." Not that they'd do it, but they could open Mass Effect 4 with Buzz Aldrin narrating that the Mass Effect universe is full of parallel dimensions and timelines and then we cut to Javik and the Protheans firing the "incomplete" Crucible, destroying the Reapers but wiping themselves out at the same time. Fast forward 50,000 years and you now get to play in the ME universe without having to worry about Reapers invading while there are a handful of Protheans still in the universe, bemoaning the loss of their empire. If they do do prequels, then I am a huge fan of the "retro cyberpunk" genre ala Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon so if they did a neo noir game set on Earth before the discovery of the Mars Ruins, with a heavy Neuromancer feel to the whole thing, that would be awesome. Ellsworth Toohey
I seriously should just buy a 2nd drive just for this series Just get a 30 GB thumb drive or something and transfer the DLC for all three games into it, it's cheaper. Hopefully we'll get a "high definition" re-release for the Xbox One/PS4 and all the DLC will be pre-loaded onto the blu ray discs.

Eh, they already did the thing with ME3 that considered simply one ending of ME2 as canon. They could do the same with ME4. But it has already been said that Shepard's story ends with ME3 anyways. J.T.
I don't really want a prequel. Regardless of how Shepard's story ends, the post-Reaper War galaxy should still be ripe for storytelling. With the Batarians making a face turn, the Krogan potentially supplanting the Turians as galactic peacekeepers, Omega possibly transforming into a center of commerce / gateway to the Terminus Systems, and either Eden Prime or Terra Nova becoming the new center of Systems Alliance Power, things would really be interesting. I imagine that EA will force Bioware to screw the pooch and propose that the rest of the ME story be told in an MMO rather than another trilogy of games. RIPPA
I would so play a game where I get to be Captain Anderson fucking Turians up in the First Contact War Anyway - we have moved onto the party part of the Citadel DLC. It took me fucking 30 minutes to figure out how to invite the various people over to my apartment after they said they wanted to visit. Despite Shepard being a dick during it - the Blasto movie was #1 and the best. PROTHEAN NO LIKE YOU!!! Oh and yeah... the various conversations based on the multiplayer have me rolling. Ace
Wrex trying out various catchphrases and Javik being unimpressed by everybody's kills were tremendous. Also, Wrex's reaction to not getting picked for the Normandy run. Best pout ever.
RIPPA
Yeah - that was the part where I was disappointed having to fight instead of just listen. I caught a little bit of Wrex and my wife was explaining how all the Mercs started realizing who they were fighting. Oh I also spent far too long on Varen racing before I realized the achievement was for games in the Arcade. So I did the crane game and got it on the first try. J.T.
I would so play a game where I get to be Captain Anderson fucking Turians up in the First Contact War I don't think I have the emotional strength to deal with an Anderson-centric game based on the novels. Between dealing with Kai Leng, being humiliated by Saren, not being able to hook up with Kahlee Sanders permanently, and knowing that Anderson will die before he gets the chance to reunite with her, I'd probably set my Xbox 360 on fire. Oh, I could tell from Anderson's transmissions that he and Kahlee had spent some.... quality time... at the apartment on the Citadel sometime before the Reaper War (probably while Anderson was Earth's Councellor). Having beaten the game, it just bums me out to know that, Anderson will die before they can reunite again..

Anderson never died, because that was in Shepard's head as part of the indoctrination process. I STILL BELIEVE!!!!!

I'd like to hope that EA has learned some sort of lesson from the "Star Wars: The Old Republic" fiasco and won't go that route with ME, or at the very least won't abandon single-player games in the series. If they want to do a 'out of continuity' MMO that's fine, but don't continue the canon storyline in an MMO exclusively.

J.T.
I think my favorite part of Citadel was getting back from the casino after we found the dead weapons dealer in his office. I took Liara instead of Ashley (my love interest) and she was all, "HEY! I HAVE A HOT DRESS AND LIKE TO GO TO PARTIES TOO, Y'KNOW!" I was pretty annoyed that: My clone's armor looks way cooler than my N7 shit and that the CAT6 Disruptor Drones are not an unlockable power in the campaign nor they are they in co-op. I love those things.
