RIPPA
Side tangent - the 12 Angry Men remake that Showtime did in 1997 is really good too (I put in as a honorable mention) Directed by William Friedkin with Jack Lemmon in Henry Fonda's spot and George C Scott in Lee J Cobb's role
(BP)
I really should have put 12 Angry Men on my list. It's one I guess I take for granted because it seeped into the cultural subconscious so much that there's a jury duty episode of like every tv show that bites off of it. Memento was my one vote that I knew would show up in the top 100 (once we got to 101 and it hadn't appeared yet). It was my #13. Looking at the other movies that are showing up now, it may be my only vote that makes the top 100.

I had it at #8. Love this movie. It's helped by the memories surrounding my viewing it, I had just got super into film and Miyazaki and happened to notice this was playing at the nearest thing we have to an art-house theater, so I took my brother to it for a matinee viewing on my birthday and just adored it. Seeing it on the big screen was such a wonderful treat. I've actually managed to see Miyazaki's last four films on the big screen which is pretty amazing as this place is not always serious film-watcher's heaven. 2 hours ago, RIPPA said: 45) 12 ANGRY MEN (1957) Director: Sidney Lumet 538 Points (9 Votes) - HIGH VOTES: RIPPA & Ed (#2) - ADDITIONAL VOTES: Tbarrie, WNBB, Matt D, Raziel, Z, Sublime, Caley IMDB : ROTTEN TOMATOES (100%) Criterion Collection: YES Previous DVDVR Poll Placement: #2 (50s) My #96. Good flick. Then again, I'd listen to Henry Fonda read the phone book. Also, on the 'Memento' front, I have no strong feelings on it one way or the other, but I was watching David Cross' stand-up last week and he said that he only had one tattoo, written across his stomach that says "Do not watch Memento" which I thought was really funny.
