Ace
Emma Stone, while talented, should not win best actress for La La Land.

S.K.o.S.
Imagine being all excited to possibly win an Oscar, and then... http://variety.com/2017/film/news/academy-rescinds-sound-mixing-oscar-nomination-for-violation-of-campaign-regulations-1201996589/ The Academy announced on Saturday, the day before Oscar Sunday, that Greg P. Russell’s sound mixing nomination for “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” has been revoked for “violation of Academy campaign regulations.” Gary Summers, Jeffrey J. Haboush and Mac Ruth remain sound mixing nominees for the film. “The decision was prompted by the discovery that Russell had called his fellow members of the Sound Branch during the nominations phase to make them aware of his work on the film, in direct violation of a campaign regulation that prohibits telephone lobbying,” the release said. Instead of someone like Jack Klugman, who I don't think they ever bothered to mention. That's a bit harsh. Glee was popular and Cory Monteith was one of the show's stars. Not comparing him to Klugman in any way, but he wasn't a D-lister by any guidelines at that time. The problem is that the Emmys tried to pander to several demographics that year, including young adults. That led to a debacle concerning the memoriums. Klugman's family was right to be upset over him not being featured more, but Klugman's son went too far and pretty much said Monteith didn't deserve to be remembered because he overdosed and killed himself. It was a mess that the Emmys could have avoided, though. Just do a standard memorium and put everyone in there.
