WWE owns 51 percent of AAA,  so the majority ownership of a co-ownership company.

I think the cut off was 97 or 98? Can't remember for sure. The ECW cameras thing makes sense. I was just hoping it was from a Barnett comp because we have a good chance of finding the rest if so.

because I couldn't find the 6/8/85 World Wide on YouTube

WCW Worldwide (6/7/1997, labeled by 6/8/97 in the video title): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGF2JEywyis

Bobby Heenan making a note of the Outsiders challenging Flair/Piper and how unusual it is for the champions to issue a challenge. Chris Benoit vs Dave Taylor would get 3x as much time with modern TV match standards. Benoit just puts the Crossface on out of near nowhere to win. Greg Valentine winning a match and having way too cool music in 1997. Johnny Swinger with some elegant hair. I was inspired to see if they ever ran Greg Valentine vs Fit Finlay (they didn't) but that would have been a fun 4 minutes. Page/Savage 2 at the Great American Bash in a match that is awesome. A six man match with Lizmark, Juvy & Psicosis v Galaxy/Damien, Ciclope & Villano IV. Tony confused on if they're using lucha rules for this one or not. Wild that they'd have this for 3 minutes on a Worldwide taping. Here's a clip of Hogan from Nitro from nearly 2 weeks ago as Hogan doesn't have a mustache due to a movie and he looks weird. Mongo and Kevin Greene are fighting in a clip from Nitro. That Harlem Heat tandem finisher with Booker kicking Jeff Jarrett as he's held up looked cool. Someone putting together Worldwide knowing that a certain percentage of people still don't have cable so they can fill time on syndication shows with clips from Nitro. 1997 Hector Guerrero can't shave his mustache to avoid confusion with Eddy. Dean Malenko vs Hector Guerrero is fun. Now that the NFL is in the offseason, Kevin Greene is back to get revenge on Mongo at the Bash. Ice Train vs Roadblock! Roadblock, a man before his time. Or maybe after his time. Ice Train slams the mighty Roadblock in front of 93000 Trainamaniacs and wins with the splash. Your main event for this week of Worldwide is High Voltage vs Harlem Heat. Sherri looking like she's about to get into a fight at a biker bar at this time in her career. Wondering how many years Booker just did the spinnarooni as a throwaway move before it became the main thing he did. Voltage were faces and Heat were heels during the intros, so Voltage worked as heels at times. Robbie Rage almost doing a springboard legdrop before just deciding to jump over the top and drop a leg. Baffling spot with Rage and Booker and missed kicks. Finally Stevie gets into the match. Harlem Heat wins with their cool tandem move that I described seeing earlier.

Next week on Worldwide: Iaukea, Steiners, Jeff Jarrett, Chris Jericho

using 06-08 instead of 6/8 really throwing me off there

World Wide Wrestling (6/8/1985):

JJ Dillon and Ron Bass with the same hair style, just different hair colors. Ricky Reeves gets to last for a few minutes before Ron Bass wins with the Claw. We're having a big show at Memorial Stadium in Charlotte for the 50th anniversary of JCP, this would be the Great American Bash. Love how much they hype up Skydivers as an attraction for the show. The Russians beat on Gene Ligon and Sam Houston. Station salute of the week is for Providence, RI. Ron Bass talking about the show tomorrow in Roanoke. Barbarian in a jean vest and sunglasses looking cool. Magnum and Manny in tag team action. Double dropkick by Magnum and Manny. Manny's flying burrito forearm looking vicious this week. Here are some words with Tully and Baby Doll. JJ Dillon joins David and we see the end of last week's show. JJ Dillon giving Ric Flair an extra $200 in the delivery of $25000 for a nice dinner. Barbarian gets his weekly squash. Nikita Koloff is still working out and David Crockett is watching him work out. Ivan Koloff gets his squash, man, the Russian trio is just all over these TV shows. That Ivan Koloff Cobra Clutch looks gnarly. More promos for Roanoke from Buzz Tyler and Jimmy Valiant. Abdullah the Butcher squashes Pat Tanaka. Dusty runs out for a save and the video cuts to something else.

Furface being a Brutus Beefcake return in 1991 that never got a name on TV

Don't forget The Mariner.

Edit: So apparently Furface was also known as The Mariner. I was referring to the OTHER Brutus masked gimmick where he wore red, white, blue, and some weird vest thing, headbutted people, that also didn't have a name. I thought that one was The Mariner.

Second edit: THAT character shows up at the end of the video. Are they now trying to say it was the same character?

I was thinking looking at the last run-ins that it wasn't the 2nd version of Furface it was the original version of Tatanka.    It looks like more a Native American character.  Only similarities is the wrestling moves.   I don't know why they would call it the Mariner.   There is nothing aquatic about that is that creepy ass thong he is wearing over whatever the hell he was wearing

they haven't said this but I'm gonna invent the theory that they didn't go with the Furface look because it looked like something that gets blamed for killing 46 people in Point Pleasant after the bridge collapsed

they probably wanted it to be more like "What if WCW had Wildcat Willie do postmatch saves" but that Furface look was something, even by the standards of 1991 WWF

Intrestingly enough, I did notice that Furface had a ax on his pants similar to the one he had on his pants as "The Butcher" in WCW.
