love how Buffer just insists on calling it the "International World Title" which makes less sense than the "WCW International" nonsense they used once the NWA broke up with them the year before

I won't lie, I started watching right as the International Title was phased out so I love it so much lol but now I can appreciate it is fucking stupid.

Let's open with the sounds of "Bodies" by Drowning Pool. Randy Orton is here this week. Nick Dinsmore opens against Derrick King. We won't hear the results of last night's Six Flags since this show was taped before that happened. Dinsmore wins with the Crossface. OVW in Shepherdsville in a fundraiser for the VA hospital. Hey, it's the SMW "we can run a show to raise money for you" ad only for OVW. Let's take a look at recent events with Damaja, Machine, Rob Conway, Jackie Gayda, a Jackie Gayda heel turn, a chase down the hallway into the parking lot. The Revolution got a restraining order on the Damaja. The Damaja's attorney got the restraining order thrown out for misrepresenting the facts because the Davis Arena parking lot is private property. The Damaja wants to face three guys on June 13th and his partner is The Big Show. On checking CageMatch, this is the week that they brought Damaja into the WWE in a tag team with Doug Basham during his OVW feud with Basham. So the upcoming TV is gonna have to work around the WWE fucking with them. Hey, the actual non-wrestling ads are in this video. Last week: Johnny Jeter kissed Nikita and he won his match. Everybody in this promotion has Slapjacks as weapons. Mark Magnus makes the save and he'll team with Johnny Jeter tonight. The Revolution has demanded Damaja leave the building so he just does. Hey it's "Alive" by POD. Spade's partner is Chris Kanyon. Johnny Jeter is in peril and the ref didn't see his tag to Magnus. Magnus gets the tag and then turns heel on Johnny Jeter. "What the hell has come over Mark Magnus" - just wait a year. Randy Orton is in town working out, he had just returned from injury on WWE TV. Randy Orton has some words about current OVW guys. Matt Morgan is here to confront Randy Orton. Orton jumps Morgan and takes him out with a chair. Six Flags! June 13th! Damaja/Big Show vs Revolution! The APA vs La Resistance! Jim Cornette isn't gonna say Grenier in the French way. Randy Orton vs Matt Morgan! Here's a video of Big Show kicking some ass on WWE TV. Jim Cornette is donating some money to charity for the Crusade for Children. Kenny Bolin is here to donate some Raw tickets from 2001 and coupons for the Golden Corral and a car wash. Bolin has some passes to the nudie bar for the Crusade for Children. Kenny Bolin is gonna be in the parking lot this Wednesday and people can donate money to smack Kenny Bolin in the face with a pie. You know, there aren't results for a June 13th show, so.. check back to see what happened there. This Wednesday Night, June 4th, cream pie Bolin in the parking lot. What a promotion. Nova and Chris Cage are in the main event against Machine and Rob Conway. Cage is in peril until he tags to Nova. Nova knocks the two valets into each other before Conway hits him with a loaded glove for the win. The Damaja has a bat to drive off the Revolution before flipping off Cage

Tune in next week to find out how OVW works around the WWE messing up their storylines!

AWA All-Star Wrestling, St. Louis market version (4/14/1984): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ElSBmdtoG8

Bockwinkel wins a squash. Fabulous Ones music video to "Beat It". Bobby Heenan comments on the Fabulous Ones, Ric Flair, and says a bunch of things about Wahoo that we don't say in public anymore. The Blackjacks have a challenge for Patera and Blackwell. Patera and Blackwell take on Buck Zumhofe and Steve O in a 2/3 falls match which ends with the heels beating up Buck (he deserved it). Ken Resnick rushes back into the studio because Wally Karbo cuts off the footage of a beating. Larry Zbyszko squash. Gagne and Brunzell have thoughts about Patera/Blackwell. Here's a women's match from almost a year ago. Curt Hennig is back in the area. Fabulous Ones music video to "Lucky Ones" by Loverboy. Jesse Ventura has thoughts about the Fabulous Ones. Blackjack Lanza has comments about Patera and Blackwell.

An actual angle running on an AWA show!

We open with Ivan Koloff mounting Nikita from behind in a dark room as part of the training and Nikita challenges Flair. Sam Houston and Ron Rossi open up. Sam Houston has a worked full name (Michael Samuel Houston, not to be confused with his real name Michael Maurice Smith). Sam Houston wins with a bulldog. Tully and Baby Doll talk to David Crockett. Tully offering his totally sincere congrats to Sam Houston. "Why are you out here?" "Because I paid for the time". Dusty Rhodes talks to Bob Caudle about Ric Flair. Baby Doll comes out to distract Dusty so that ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER can sneak attack Dusty. Yes Abdullah sneaking up on someone. The wide shot of the Mid-Atlantic wrestling interview set takes some of the mystique away. I think I know what they're trying to play up by having Baby Doll in a suit with a bowtie. Ron Bass in action. Ron Bass wins with the Claw. Greensboro Coliseum June 8th, Roanoke Civic Center June 9th. Kendo Nagasaki vs Mark Fleming, Buddy Landell vs Pat Tanaka, Johnny Weaver vs the Barbarian, Buzz Tyler vs Ron Bass, Jimmy Valiant vs Superstar Graham. Ron Bass promo. Let's cut to Ric Flair talking about how much more awesome this promotion is than the unnamed WWF. Ric Flair talking about JJ Dillon and Buddy Landel. Ivan and Nikita in action against Rocky Kernodle and "Patrick" Tanaka. Rocky Kernodle looking like a goof. Tanaka taking a sickle in a way to bounce his head directly off the mat. "DUSTY RHODES always the center of attention" - yeah i'd say. Words from Magnum TA. Words from Ivan and Nikita. Magnum TA squash where the job guy nearly blows a leapfrog. Magnum wins with a Belly to Belly. Here's the video of Jimmy Valiant declaring war on Paul Jones Army. Buddy Landel against Denny Brown. Nice basketball hoop in this arena. Paul Jones has so many people in his army that he's giving them up to other heels (this would happen with Baron in 1986). Extended postmatch refusal to break the Figure Four. Worldwide's Station of the week is in Salisbury, Maryland. Another promo for the Roanoke Civic Center from Ron Bass. Buzz Sawyer vs fat boy Doug Vines. Buzz has furry boots. Buzz could have aged to be Robert Duvall if not for his diet of cocaine causing him to die at 32. Here's an Abdullah squash match. Ric Flair talks some more about Buddy Landel and JJ Dillon. JJ Dillon walks out in an amazing looking suit. Ric Flair makes a Porter Wagoner joke about JJ's suit. Ric Flair flashes $25K that he'd put up against Landel.

watching this 'early' since this promotion has some work to do cleaning up things. Also this video has the wrong title "(6/7/25)"

Condolences for Freddie Blassie. Mark Henry has an outfit that makes it look like it says "WORLD'S MAN" with the color of Strongest on his tights being red and the VQ. Mark Henry is taking on Orlando Jordan. Jim Cornette promises an explanation of why the guys feuding on his show are teaming up on Smackdown. Mark Henry wins with splash. "There's Skullduggery going on in the WWE". Local ads! Damaja explains how Johnny Ace put him in a tag team match with Doug Basham. Cornette reads a letter from the WWE about how Damaja will be barred from wrestling due to breach of contract if he doesn't work as a Basham Brother, and how Doug Basham is doing this to mess with him. Doug Basham comes out to taunt Damaja. Then Damaja jumps the 3 guys and it turns into a 3-on-1. Johnny Jeter runs out. Then Nick Dinsmore. No more APA vs La Resistance in the pitch for June 13th. Rewind to last week with Randy Orton and Matt Morgan. Randy Orton takes on Tank Toland. Toland making his TV debut. OVW will air after the Kentucky vs Indiana High School All-Star basketball game next week. Orton wins with a "diamond cutter out of nowhere". Orton with some great reacting once he sees Matt Morgan in the ring. Billy Kidman is taking on Mark Magnus tonight. OVW at the Derby Park on June 22nd. OVW at the Armory in Salem, Indiana on June 28th. Last week Magnus turned heel. Mark Magnus now has a sexy lady. Mark Magnus has an IQ of 148. Billy Kidman in tights not looking like a tweaker looks weird. They could have also pretended that Kidman was an Arab if they wanted someone else for the Muhammad Hassan gimmick, Muhammad Kidman would have been something. Heel chicanery stops the Shooting Star Press and Mark Magnus beats Kidman. Last week Kenny Bolin got into stuff. This week, people hit Kenny Bolin with cream pies in the parking lot. A black guy as a butler (Morris) is talking to Kenny while he's in the shower. La Resistance takes on Chris Cage and Nova. Having Nova and Kanyon here at the same time is a fun coincidence. Nova flies getting tossed over the top rope. La Resistance goes for their tag finisher only for it to be countered and Nova/Cage win. Then a big dude in leather shows up to beat up the faces and we run out of time

watching Michaels/Goldust from a video of Ladder Matches posted today by the Vault ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGPZ-t7J3b4 ) and that "Michaels falls off the ladder and crotches himself" spot is more sinister with Michaels as a face than it was when he did that spot as a heel

the matches in that video

  • Michaels vs Goldust from CNE in August 1996
  • Jarrett vs Bulldog from May 1995
  • Hart vs Michaels from 1992 in the match we've all seen
  • Eddie and Tajiri vs Team Angle from Judgment Day 2003
  • 3 Count vs Yung Dragons from New Blood Rising

Cactus Jack, Sabu and Psicosis team up to take on Rey Mysterio Jr, Super Calo and Winners from 1995 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFnDJ2KEEgo

Loved this. Starting off with a chair being thrown by Psicosis and then a bunch of bs stalling until Calo does the running man and gets laid out.  Great shit. My only complaints are: the static camera angle and it's too short!

I wonder if the rest is out there. Possibly on some forgotten Bob Barnett vhs?

I think the main reason why the WWE Vault can post the footage of an AAA/IWC/John Arezzi show is that it was shot by an ECW camera (not sure if any of it was used in clip form on ECW TV) and also they own AAA and  the other guys probably don’t have any papers saying they own that footage. Of course AAA didn’t exactly own a lot of AAA footage before a time too

mid-1990s ECW was probably not a model of organization but I’d think there is still some good random footage they kept
