Here's him against (Wladek) Killer Kowalski from the Kohler files.

EDIT: This one's cool to see the move that wins it, which is still used today by a certain fan-favorite champion. And Rogers sounds like such a badass on the mic. "I don't run from 'em; if I'm gonna run, I'm gonna run right at 'em." Plus he does an incipient version of the Flair strut!

EDIT: Also if you wince at seeing it be 20 minutes trust me there is probably less than 10 of action in that file

I swear if The Timeless one is getting inspo from old Fred Kohler shows... (as far as I'm concerned he doesn't get enough talk when it comes to great promoters)

WWE Vault posting a Superstars episode where Berzerker tries to stab the Undertaker. Makes me think that the guy who handles the Saturday uploads really loved 1991-92 WWF

gonna watch the 1/4/86 WCW to figure out which sort of content issue caused the WCW YouTube to skip that episode and stream the 1/11/86 episode tonight

EDIT: yeah, I guess Tully hitting Baby Doll in the face in a clip from Worldwide would answer why that isn't being streamed.. sorta like the theory some have that the WCW YouTube is skipping all the episodes with Benoit for obvious reasons

I’ve tediously searched through YouTube to compile some title history/changes playlists from what’s available; I might as well just list all of them here below. The WWF and NWA World ones both begin with the Rogers/O’Connor title switch, since that’s where things eventually branch off.

Whatever’s missing is either non-existent or not able to be uploaded onto YouTube. Enjoy - hopefully it saves you time looking for something.

NWA/WCW World Heavyweight Title: 1961-1993

NWA/WCW United States Title: 1976-1993

NWA World Tag Team Title: 1982-1991

WWWF/WWF/WWE World Title: 1963-2006 (also Rogers NWA Title win in 1961 and a couple of his other transitional matches)

WWF/WWE Intercontinental Title: 1979-1994

WWWF/WWF World Tag Team Title: 1973-1990

AWA World Title: 1980-1990

For a second, I thought it was the Challenger reference. Then, I remembered it was later in January and that Dusty actually had JC redo the promo.

U-STYLE Axis 2005

Josh Barnett vs Kiyoshi Tamura

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0x2S6nFXhI

U-STYLE was another one of those UWF successors, but it isn't labeled UWF or a "real" UWF. It lasted from 2003 to 2015. They ran around 20 plus shows.

Kiyoshi Tamura works in the back for GLEAT these days and he was the one who revived UWF rules and LIDET UWF was born, which is the 4th UWF really.

You've got to be fucking kidding me.

That's the best shootstyle match I've seen in ages. Of course it's Warmaster, and of course it's Tamura, but man. That one needs to be seen.

watching an episode of World Wide Wrestling from 5/11/1985: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b98qsCSZTIQ

Love how the World Wide theme from this era sounds like a noise from a distant radio station. Dick Slater is working with his eye swelled shut! That was a very casual looking Russian legsweep. He hear from Budro and JJ Dillon about Ric Flair. "Khrusher Khruschev: Born in Russia, reared in the USA" (news to the fans of Mid-South). Superstar Graham is using the world's shittiest karate. Superstar wins with a full nelson instead of a bearhug. Tony Schiavone has a giant microphone talking about the JCP-Georgia show in Columbus, GA on May 25th. JJ Dillon looking like someone who is about to scam a small town in these days. Got some words from the Russians. Jimmy Valiant and Dick Slater have some words about Paul Jones. Dick Slater looking like Joe Don Baker. Don Kernodle is the pride of the USA somehow. Camera angle making it look like Buddy was hitting Mark Fleming with chops to the mouth. Buddy wins with the elbowdrop and the figure four. Even with the VQ, you can see Ivan Koloff's gig marks. Here's some footage of Nikita training in a dark room because the Soviet Union doesn't believe in lighting. The temperature is 75 degrees in Columbus GA as this was taped off of WRBL-3. Nikita Koloff wins with the Cobra Clutch. Baby Doll has a message from Tully for Magnum TA. Crowd biting quick on the idea that Don Kernodle could beat Tully by countering a move off the top into a powerslam. World Wide's station of the week is WLFL in Durham, NC. Before we return to the main event, here's some local promos for Columbus. Dick Slater's eye isn't swollen shut anymore during this local promo! back to the main event. I'd imagine there's a solid assortment of awesome 1984/85 Tully stuff before he hooked into the Horsemen that sorta gets forgotten about since Tully essentially disappeared at the end of 1989. Kernodle opts to go for a big move but gets tripped and Tully gets DQed. TA and Tully go at it postmatch before Dusty makes a save. Dusty and TA just shooing Don Kernodle into the ether is maybe a little symbolic for how Kernodle's career went once Dusty arrived.

the results for the 5/25/85 Columbus, GA show, for the record: Scott Irwin over Ricky Reeves, Bob Roop over Stoney Burke, Khruschev over Italian Stallion, Buzz Sawyer over Nikita by DQ, Ron Garvin over Ron Bass, and Dick Slater over Ivan Koloff. Man, what an outpost of dudes not working the JCP Carolinas shows.
