Not a very long match from the second AJPW under All Japan Pro Wrestling Systems Co., Ltd.

AJPW - 03-17-2013  Don Frye and Keiji Mutoh vs. Masayuki Kono and Yoshihiro Takayama

https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7u9ccl

The Pride fist fest is recreated.

While they still used the Pro Wrestling Love term for the above event, this era was called something else because of Nobuo Shiraishi. Some of the trademarks, belts, and more gets sold to Nobuo Shiraishi in 2012 and he starts up the second AJPW and Baba's original company closes down. Nobuo wanted to merge shoot and MMA with the Royal Road, but it never fully happened, the fans revolted and the second W-1 took AJPW fans with it.

The current AJPW is the third one founded in 2014.

From Segunda, for Natural

SUWA vs. Bryan Danielson (IPW)

At first I was thinking "SUWA would have made a great tag partner with Suzuki" then I realized: this guy is just a great rudo, like a Perro Aguayo, Mocho Cota, Negro Casas rudo. Like the Segunda boys it's a long time since I watched him and I need to see more.

EDIT: Well, shit, he was a tag partner with Suzuki. Go figure.

AJPW Muto Festival 2009

The Great Muta vs Hate

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZr5qgK5YNI

Hate was Nobukazu Hirai,  who started in SWS  and he was trained by Tenryu, and then he went to WAR. He hasn't wrestled since 2011, he suffered a stroke from a backstage fight from Taru. The Voodoo Murders Japanese members were suspended and then the unit had to be disbanded, and Mutoh stepped down as Pres.

He recovered from the stroke over the years and he plans to enter the ring again someday.

Sid vs Stone Cold from Thursday Raw Thursday

Big surprise that they could get that SID pyro into the Lowell Auditorium

Fun TV match and the one Sid/Austin match that was on TV

I just watched this show last night.

Vader/Bret is in the main event, and it's weird cause:

1. Vader is in the main event on Sunday in the Final Four match for the now vacant WWF title due to Shawn vacating it during the show, and Bret basically beats him clean. They don't do the obligatory all the main event participants brawl to end the show on the go home show before the PPV. They shoehorn a weird Undertaker appearance before the match, but the focus is clearly on Bret and Steve Austin as Austin is in the balcony trying to goad Bret for the back half of the match. So you can tell Vader is being cycled even further down the card post Summerslam 1996.

2. Speaking of Austin in the balcony during the main event, they end the show with the referees trying to stop Austin from jumping over the railing to get at Bret. In theory, what was Austin's plan? Was he going to do this New Jack type leap into the ring? That would have been disastrous. However, it's hilarious to think Austin was feigning a leap from the balcony.

AJPW New Year Giant Series 1988 1 2

AWA World Heavyweight Championship

Curt Hennig (c) vs Tiger Mask 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwwhLQEIlhk

The last AWA World Heavyweight title match in AJPW.  Not much of le workrate match but whatever. NOAH booked the now retired Zero 1 WHC before in the past, the design of the WHC was based on one of the AWA World title designs.

The AWA belt is available in the N64 game VPW2.
